super_lampard
End of Season Update - 18/19 So another exciting season has drawn to a close. There were a lot of teams looking at promotion and relegation including the possibillity of a League 1 team again and maybe another League 2 team. Lets see what happened... Coca Cola League 2 Both Allithwaite and Dynamo had good solid seasons. They spent most of the time around 9th 10th and finished there. Downs had a poor start but came back to finish in a good mid table. Westfields had a tougher season again but eventually had a good end to the season and finished in a respectable 15th place League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards Young player of the Month Awards Players' Select Goal of the Season Blue Square Premier Again it was a mixed season for the BSP teams. The Ironz and James May Athletic were down in the relegation zone for the most of the season and eventually could not stay up and were relegated. But at the other end of the table Sherwood went top in September and stayed there for most of the season. They eventually won the league by a massive 8 points. There was also a playoff place for the Cricketers who had spent all season there. League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards Young player of the Month Awards Players' Select Goal of the Season Blue Square North Both Cressington and RH FC finished in mid table this season but it could have been so much more for Cressington who had an awful end of the season. SS Utd were different. They had a good start and kept it going all season and eventually finished 1st and are going back to the BSP. League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards Manager of the Season Player of the Season Blue Square South This year was an overall solid season for the 4 remaining BSS teams. FC Cardiff were the team that came the closest to promotion but they failed and could not make the playoffs either. TJ FC were the closest to relegation but eventually they finished three points above the relegation zone. League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards Manager of the Season Player of the Season So there was automatic promotions this year for Sherwood to L2 and SS Utd to the BSP. But there was still the playoffs for the Cricketers in the BSP... Blue Square Premier Playoffs Cricketers were up against Torquay in the semi finals. After a dull first half, the game livened up with a goal for both Torquay and Cricketers in four minutes. But ten minutes from the end Cricketers had a player sent off and Torquay scored. But Cricketers cancelled it out with an 89th minute equaliser to make it 2-2 Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings In the second leg Torquay were 2-0 up after just 26 minutes. Torquay dominated the rest of match and the game ended 2-0 Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings Other News: None of our teams got to the final of the FA Trophy, but Bradwell did very well to make the semi finals James May Athletic however made the final of the Setanta Shield but lost to Bournemouth. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings Chelsea won the Premier League this year with Liverpool, Man Utd and Sunderland making up the remaining Champions League spots.
