Peacemaker7
Iran In 1978, the might Iran had humiliated Scotland by holding them to 1-1 draw - and it had taken an OG to actually gain the draw for the Scots. I have now taken on a cunning disguise as the Ayatollah khomeini and have gone into Iran to take control of their national team. Secretly, I am also helping them with their nuclear missile programme, so heaven help any country that dares to beat us. Our motto is - the Infidel Must Die. Which is unfortunate for the Prince. WLKRAS
Saudi Arabia Greetings Infidel. I am Amaso nib Nedal, leader of the glorious jihad against all who oppose the true faith. In this humble capacity I have been appointed as manager of a band of truly faithful warriors, the Saudi Arabian football team. To show the infidel our unlimited footballing prowess, we shall claim glorious victory for Allah in the Asian Cup of Nations. Our group opponents will be the false believers of Qatar, who interpret the Qur’an far too loosely to be true faithful, the ungodly infidel of Thailand, prostitutes and fornicators the lot of them and finally the barbarians of Uzbekistan. We have gathered the following band of faithful to spread the word of Allah.
| Pkd | Inf | Name | Position | Morale | Form | Con | Apps | Gls | Av Rat | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Hussein Al-Inezi | GK | Okay | 8-8-6-7 | 95% | 1 | - | 8.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Misfer Al-Thunaiyan | GK | Okay | 7-7-7-8-8 | 77% | 6 | - | 7.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Abdul Rahman Al-Mutlaq | SW, D C | Okay | 8-8-8-7-7 | 94% | 7 | - | 7.43 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ahmed Al-Qahtani | D RC | Okay | 7-7-7-6-6 | 100% | 5 | - | 6.60 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Yehia Al-Balawi | D LC | Okay | 8-8-8-8-8 | 99% | 3 (1) | - | 6.75 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ghazi Al-Sallal | D L | Okay | 6-7-7-7-7 | 94% | 7 | - | 7.14 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Hamad Al-Dossary | D C | Okay | 6-7-7-6-6 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Wnt | Mohammed Al-Lihiani | D C | Okay | 8-8-7-7-8 | 91% | 0 (2) | - | 6.50 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Inj | Majed Al-Hazzazi | D/WB RL | Okay | 8-7-7-6-6 | 83% | 0 (2) | - | 7.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ibrahim Al-Jasim | D/WB R | Okay | 7-6-6-6-6 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ali Al-Shahrani | D/WB RL, M L | Okay | 7-7-7-6-6 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Faisal Al-Moffarij | DM | Okay | 6-6-6-7-7 | 93% | 7 | 2 | 7.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Hani Al-Thagafi | DM | Okay | 6-6-6-6-6 | 100% | 4 (2) | - | 6.17 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Saeed Al-Qahtani | M RC | Okay | 6-8-8-7-7 | 100% | 6 (1) | - | 6.71 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Riyadh Al-Inezi | AM RLC | Okay | 7-5-6-5-5 | 95% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Sultan Al-Mutraf | AM RC | Okay | 6-7-7-7-7 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ali Al-Thunaiyan | AM RLC | Okay | - | 95% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Khalid Hagawi | AM L | Okay | 7-7-7-8-8 | 94% | 5 (1) | - | 6.50 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Hussein Al-Sarhani | AM/F C | Okay | 8-8-8-8-8 | 98% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Abdul Rahman Hazzazi | AM/F C | Okay | 7-8-8-8-8 | 79% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Inj | Mosaied Fallatah | ST | Okay | 7-7-7-10-10 | 70% | 0 (1) | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ali Salim | ST | Okay | 7-7-7-7-7 | 100% | 0 (1) | 1 | 8.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
BobBev
Turned up for work today as the new manager of Indonesia to find that we are hosting the Asian Cup and that the Indonesian FA expected us to make the country proud. Given that I have never heard of any Indonesian players this could be quite a tall order. I had very little time available to make my squad selection but there was one player who stood out from the others at first glance. Roni Fanani was a 20-year-old right winger employed by Monaco and he seemed to be the only one of my players at a quality European club although he was by no means a regular starter over in France. Him apart there seemed to be no outstanding talents so I decided to leave the final squad selection to my Assistant and this is what he came up with.
| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Pkd | Inf | Name | Position | Morale | Form | Con | Apps | Gls | Av Rat | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ferry Maniani | GK | Okay | 7-8-8-7-7 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Muhammad Ruslan | GK | Okay | 7-7-6-6-6 | 89% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Wnt | Supriyadi | GK | Okay | 6-6-6-6-6 | 94% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Susanto | SW, D C | Okay | 8-8-8-7-7 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Aris Anwar | D RC, WB R, ST | Okay | 8-7-8-8-8 | 87% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Agus Huda | D LC | Okay | 7-8-8-7-7 | 100% | 1 | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Abdul Rahman Saragih | D C | Okay | 6-7-7-7-7 | 100% | 1 | - | 5.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Iskandar | D C, DM | Okay | 6-9-9-6-6 | 100% | 1 | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Inj | Erik Prasetya | D/WB R | Okay | 7 | 34% | 1 | - | 7.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Dwi Mulyana | D/WB/M L | Okay | 8-7-7-7-7 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Salim Arif | D/M C | Okay | 7-7-7-7-7 | 59% | 1 | - | 7.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Recky Nasir | WB L | Okay | 5-5-8-5-5 | 95% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Herman Rusdianto | DM | Okay | 7-7-6-8-8 | 73% | 1 | - | 5.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Wnt | Suwarno | M L | Okay | 6-6-6-6-6 | 86% | 0 (1) | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Roni Fanani | AM RC | Okay | 5-6-6-6-7 | 89% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ikram Hidayat | AM R | Okay | 7-6-6-6-6 | 100% | 1 | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Wnt | Siswanto | AM R | Okay | 6-6-5-5-6 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Adi Santoso | AM L | Okay | 7-8-8-6-6 | 99% | 1 | - | 6.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Hariyadi | ST | Okay | 8-8-8-6-6 | 99% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Heri Komara | ST | Okay | 7-6-6-7-7 | 100% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ari Sugiarto | ST | Okay | 8-8-8-7-7 | 98% | - | - | - | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Supriyadi | ST | Okay | 9-10-10-8-8 | 100% | 1 | 2 | 9.00 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
quirky
Having been controversially deprived at a chance of World Cup qualification, we are determined to show that we are no pushovers in the Asian Cup.
| Pkd | Inf | Name | Position | Morale | Form | Con | Apps | Gls | Av Rat | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Alexandr Mamajonov | GK | Okay | 7-7 | 94% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Inj | Marat Tojiboev | GK | Okay | 6-7-7-7-7 | 42% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Vladimir Yuldoshev | GK | Okay | 6-6-7-8-7 | 100% | 6 | - | 6.83 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | Sus | Otabek Khakimov | D R | Okay | 5-5-8-7-7 | 65% | 6 | 1 | 6.33 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Shuhrat Khoshimov | D RC | Okay | 6-6-6-6-6 | 98% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ildor Musaboev | D RL, WB L | Okay | 5-5 | 95% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Rustam Kurbanov | D LC | Okay | 7-6-7-8-7 | 98% | 6 | 2 | 7.67 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Alexandr Abdurazzoqov | D C | Okay | 6-6-6-6-6 | 61% | 6 | - | 6.33 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Eugeny Khakimov | D C | Okay | - | 95% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Rustam Kopadze | D C | Okay | 7-7-7-8-8 | 100% | 5 | 1 | 6.80 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Artur Khaydarov | D/WB RL | Okay | 7-7-7-5-5 | 100% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Gayrat Gofurov | DM | Okay | 6-6-7-7-8 | 95% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Mansur Abdullaev | AM RC | Okay | 8-8-6-6-6 | 88% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Ildor Asqaraliev | AM RL | Okay | 7-7-7-5-5 | 93% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Bakhodir Sarkisyan | AM RC | Okay | 5 | 95% | 0 (1) | - | 5.00 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Yury Zabirov | AM R | Okay | 8-7-7-7-7 | 95% | 6 | 1 | 7.33 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Valery Jalilov | AM LC | Okay | 6-8-8-5-7 | 93% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Eugeny Gladkov | AM LC, F C | Okay | 7-7-7-6-6 | 99% | 0 (1) | - | 7.00 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Alexandr Khasanov | AM/F C | Okay | 7-6-6-7-7 | 94% | 6 | 3 | 7.33 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Fazliddin Jalilov | ST | Okay | 7-8-8-8-8 | 96% | 4 (1) | 3 | 7.40 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Andrey Mamadaliev | ST | Okay | 8-7-7-8-8 | 92% | - | - | - | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | - | | Sergey Nesterov | ST | Okay | 8-7-7-6-6 | 100% | 0 (1) | - | 6.00 | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
WLKRAS
Game 1 vs Uzbekistan The barbarians of Uzbekistan posed no challenge to our believers of the true faith and we quickly dispensed of them. Hazzazi opened the scoring after 28 minutes, pouncing on the rebound of his own shot. The barbarians came close several times before the break, even hitting the post, but after our imam had given prayer during the half time break, the players were refreshed and quickly killed off the opposition. Al-Thunaiyan made it 2-0 and late goals from Hagawi, the captain and Fallatah made Khasanov’s goal for the Uzbeks insignificant.
quirky
Match #1 Saudi Arabia It was an absymal performance from our defence against the Asian powerhouse. We came away with a disappointing 1-4 loss and needing to win our next two matches against Qatar and Thailand to qualify. The only player to come away with any credit from the performance was Alexandr Khasanov, who troubled our opponents with his blistering pace and had a shot hit the post. Final score Saudi Arabia 4-1 Uzbekistan
coldkohmew
The Oh mans vs indos We let them go tired ,then we score our first goal of the games but a defensive error caused us a 1-1- draw.We need to beat the next team i guess...
WLKRAS
Deja vu Game 1 vs Uzbekistan The barbarians of Uzbekistan posed no challenge to our believers of the true faith and we quickly dispensed of them. Al-Sarhani scored twice in the opening ten minutes and we were content to defend the lead. Hazzazi made it 3-0 after the break and despite a late surge from the barbarians they could only manage one goal from Gofurov’s free kick.
coldkohmew
The Oh Mans vs indos Again... We thought oh Man when they scored one but We believe and we equalised in the 40th min.A 30th min error could be a 2-1 min but we look good to win the next few i guess... BobBev
We began our campaign with a battling 1-1 draw against the Oh Manies, taking the lead midway through the first half but being pegged back before the interval. Fanani failed to deliver anything special but goal scorer Aris Anwar impressed with his Man of the Match performance. With more than twice as many scoring attempts than our opponents we probably should have recorded a win but it was a fairly decent start to the tournament. A shortage of fit right backs meant that I played winger Siswanto in defence but he did a decent job and would continue to fill in until Erik Prasetya regained fitness. Peacemaker7
Iran v Kangerooshaggers With the Kangeroos fielding a team of players that no-one had ever heard of who all somehow played in the top leagues in the world, this was match we were never going to win. The ref was biased, the press were biased, the Asian Confederation were arseholes. Twenty eight of our players booked and seven sent off as the Kangeroofiddlers humped us 4-1. Cheats. prince_capri
Game 1 v Vietnam We were robbed. The Vietnamese scored a goal in First harf to draw 1-1. We had those bloody Vietnamese in the first harf... Yu scored the goar for China in the 3rd minute to send us up. But we courd nat hold onto the lead. Damn Viets. Final score 1-1. quirky
Match #1 vs Saudi A second shot at matching the Saudis, but it was not meant to be. We were 2-0 down by half time and when Abdul Rahman Hazzazi scored the 3rd goal in the 56th min, it was all over. A spectacular freekick from Gayrat Gofurov was small consolation. Final score Saudi Arabia 3-1 Uzbekistan
WLKRAS
Game 2 vs Thailand The unfaithful of Thailand hung in front of their goal like the cowards that they are, but our holy fighters managed to break them down and defeat them. Al-Sarhani scored after just eight minutes. From then on it was an assault worthy of Allah, but we could not score another goal until the 90th minute of the match when captain Hagawi finished it off. The win meant that the faithful have qualified for the Quarter Final. Allah smiles upon us indeed.
quirky
Match #2 Qatar Qatar had drawn against Thailand in their first match, and both teams needed a win to keep their hopes of qualification alive. With Qatar just 3 places below us in the world rankings, this was going to be a tough match to call. We had a fantastic start when Valery Jalilov put us ahead in the 4th minute. However, our defence was unable to stop the equalizing goal from Younes Al-Shammari in the 37th min. Our players pushed forward in the 2nd half in a futile attempt to get the winning goal. We will have to beat Thailand in our last group match and hope that Qatar do not upset the Saudis. Final score Uzbekistan 1-1 Qatar
coldkohmew
Oh mans vs japs I give the game to my staff to handle due to a stomachache. I heard that we were 1-0 up,but a own goal before the end of the half gives us 1-1. Our efforts paid off as a 78 min goal gives us a 2-1 win over them. Good idea to go counterattacking ... A draw will be enough...
BobBev
We faced the U.A.E. knowing that a defeat would leave us with a mountain to climb in the final group match. To be honest our opponents were by far the stronger side and we were fortunate not to concede an early goal after giving away a penalty but thankfully the spot kick was lashed wide. A goal looked inevitable and sure enough juts before the half hour we fell behind. The U.A.E. continued to press and it took some excellent saves from keeper Muhammad Ruslan to keep us in the match. But with 15 minutes remaining we got a lifeline, teenage winger Adi Santoso smashing a free kick home to tie the match. Alas we were unable to hold on to that precious point, the Emirates getting the winner ten minutes later to dash our hopes.
Peacemaker7
Good Morning Vietnam! But to be honest there wasn't really a lot good about this match which ended in a goalless draw and it's more like Goodnight Iran.
prince_capri
Game 2 v Oz After the first draw, we had to win. I push my prayers to won, and we score 2 goars in first half. But Aussies come back and score two in second harf. Me not happy. Mt feel shitty! Finar score 2-2.
quirky
Match #3 Thailand A must-win game for us. We pounded away at the Thai goal, but were unable to find a breakthrough. They managed to score off a counter attack in the second half and it was all game over for us, especially as the Qataris got a draw out of the bumbling Saudis. This win sent Thailand through to the next round. Final score Thailand 1-0 Uzbekistan
WLKRAS
Game 3 vs Qatar With nothing at stake in the match against Qatar, I told our warriors to rest and take it easy. In the end, the match ended in a draw. Al-Sarhani pulled us back to 1-1 after Al-Shammari had put Qatar 1-0 up. In the second half, defender Al-Mutlaq scored from a corner to make it 2-1, but Al-Ansari saved the point for Qatar. We did lose righting Al-Mutraf to injury. His tournament was most likely over after twisting his knee early in the match.
coldkohmew
Oh Mans vs The UAE company Our super counter attacking tactic gives us a 1-0 lead in the 14 min but they equalised in the 82 min i changed the players and got an injury time winner!!! Hope we dun meet the koreans...
BobBev
Japan had amazingly lost both of their group games and were already out so they had nothing to play for. With two wins the U.A.E. were though so the task was clear – we had to beat Japan and hope that Oman lost. I sent the team out with an attacking gameplan and at first things went very well for us. We took the lead through Iskandar and then Japan had a man sent off five minutes before half time. But despite being a man short our opponents found an equaliser in stoppage time before the interval. Our hopes were raised when Aris Anwar put us back in front in the 48th minute but once again the ten men came back with a equaliser. We poured forward in attack for the remainder of the half but were unable to fins a winner and fell just short with a 2-2 draw. As things turned out even had we got the win that we deserved then it would not have been enough as the Oh Manies scored a 90th minute winner over the Emirates to make our result academic. Peacemaker7
The Mother of all Matches The biggest match in the history of the world. This was a winner takes all affair, the loser would be put up against the wall and shot. Having played so appallingly badly so far, I went into this match with the suicide pills in hand, and on 21 minutes the cap was being unscrewed. China were all over us, but gradually we pulled ourselves back into the match and Peyman Sajedi became a national hero as he leveled before half time and then sent us ahead on the hour. Ali Bagheri added a third with three minutes to go and the relief was audible as we sneaked into a Quarter Final meeting with South Korea and the gunshot in the background must surely have meant the end of the Prince. WLKRAS
Quarter Final vs U.A.E. Allah be damned! Clearly the U.A.E. are in league with the imperialists and the Zionists. Their name is at least similar. We took the lead through Al-Inezi, but missing key players cost us dearly as we conceded two goals to Al-Buloshi, a player who had gone off injured earlier, but magically reappeared, no doubt with the imperialists help. But we will be back. The war is not lost. The faithful remain ever strong.
prince_capri
Finar Group Game We pray Iran this time. Their team is strong, but they don't eat any pork. So we wirr win here. We score the first goar, but they come back to score one too. The game is in barance, but after 80 minutes, they score 2 more to end our dreams of winning the Asia cup. Now I go back to serring saucy pork and beef mears. Damn Iraninans and Austrarians and every other Asian nation. Final Score: 3-1 to Iran.
coldkohmew
Oh Mans vs Thais It was OH MAN today as the thais scored 2 in the first 10 mins theni tried to be like the mighty liverpool but a 73 min free kick sealed our fate and even a injury goal was called offside. The AFC needs to check its people. So many upsets and so many in the european top leagues... Must have been my fault for giving them a party for our 2-1 win over our rivals UAE... Peacemaker7
Unfortunately, after a third person causing a crash by not reading the rules, the game had to end before I played my final QF match but as it was South Korea anyway we would have lost.
