Yeah the geezer signed for Boston after some advanced transfer negotions the guy turned da Wolves down and went to the real team in Gold Boston Utd.

Well he didnt come alone.....brazilian legend Leonardo signed along with Mostovoi. You think it ended there yeah? You wish, Ronnie Wallwork signed up aswell to join the elite icon_smile.gif

1st league game didnt go to plan....lost to a 96th minute goal.....however, i regrouped the team, i knew they could do better, i told them to do better.

With so many new players in the team it was time they gelled together, swapped a few players in which the team should do better.

Luton up next, our 1st home game of Season 3, Boston fans never stopped cheering as 6 goals flew past the luton keeper giving nothing but delight that the Boston I know is back and better than before.

Rushden Report

Well after a shaky first few games to the season and many tactic changes, big spending Rushden finally look to have found their winning ways. After an early exit from the league cup, losing on pens to Wigan, manager Dave Johnston had this to say: "We were never gona win the cup so we might aswell get knocked out early". This reportedly(sp) caused anger amongst the fans, but all was well again after important wins in the league, away to Preston and bradford. This all left Rushden in 2nd place going into the big match with wolves, in which both mnagers were confident. The game was a close enconter with both teams having chances, and both keepers doing well, but in the end Rushden took more of their chances and beat high flying wolves 2-1. After the match manager Johnston had this to say: "I was always confident of beating wolves despite them being top, and i'm delighted with the win, and my players done me proud, especially the lad chiotos in-goal who was vastly underated at wolves" He went on to talk about Wolves manager Riddell: " I think he was to confident about his sides chances, and when it came down to it, he didn't have the answers to the rushden attack icon_biggrin.gif" All this now leaves Rushden 2nd after 15 games, a very satisfactory start to the season.

Tonight was a very successful night for me as Wolves manager. It began with an easy 3-1 win against Shrewsbury in the cup, with Rioha, Kyle both scoring their first for the club, and Mokouko grabbing the winner. Some postman or something scored for Shrewsbury. Next was the game against Mark's Coventry, which finished 1-1 after Akinbiyi icon_eek.gif equalised Kevin Kyle's opener. Coventry remain one of only 3 teams not to lose to Wolves this season, so it was a good result for Mark icon_razz.gif

Next, 2Cedric Roussell goals and one from Paulus Roiha saw us beat Charlton 3-1, despite Blomqvists late consolation.

After that, I let my assistant take over for a while as I went out to play 5 a sides. I feared the worst. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Here are the results, as if you care... icon_smile.gif

Watford 4-5 Wolves

Wolves 5-2 Cardiff (Mickey Mouse cup) icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Birmingham City 1-1 Wolves

Millwall 0-1 Wolves

Wolves 3-1 Reading icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Wolves 3-1 Sheffield Utd.

When I took over again, I found Wolves clear at the top of the league and still unbeaten. My first game was away at Tranmere which I won 4-2, thanks to 91st and 92nd goals from Elie Kroupi and Mark Kerr. Then Portsmouth came to Molineux and were easily beaten 3-0.

Rushden 2-1 Wolves, sorry, no match report available icon_mad.gificon_redface.gificon_wink.gificon_biggrin.gif

After the complete farce at Nene Park, for which Alan Maybury was blamed (now that Petric has gone we need a scapegoat), normal service resumed with a 3-1 win against Forest, with El Hadji Diouf and Peter Weatherston (2) scoring.

At the end of October, Wolves sit 9pts clear of Rushden at the top, albeit Dave's side have a game in hand. We have to be looking at automatic promotion now. Onwards and upwards... icon_biggrin.gif

Im sure you'll stay up Paul....or take a new job somewhere else and get your 3successive promotion somewhere.

Boston Utd, well ffs im peed off, team aint performing aswell as it should, doing crap in the league, although top half of the table, very frustrating times and in need of a change of fortunes to catch top of the league and start an amazing run in the league.

If the right job comes along, i might take it.

Paul you've turned the club around once already so im sure you can do it again.

I had the same trouble in the last game and as you can see im having that trouble this time round with Boston. Im gonna try and turn it around again cos I dont wanna be in Div2 for longer than I really should be, just a matter of trying a new tactic that will work. (i have a lot of tactics)

CARDIFF HAMMERED!

My wolves team today absolutely hammered Andy's Cardiff side by a whopping 2-1 scorelin e at Ninnian Park. After a great start with an Ibraham Said goal on 2 minutes, Wolves survived Cardiff 'pressure' until the 70th minute when El Hadji Diouf scored a 2nd goal against the run of play. After that, Wolves had to endure constant Cardiff attacks (if you could call them attacks...) and despite an injury time Des Hamilton consolation goal, Wolves held on to their 2-1 scoreline to increase their lead over Dave's Rushden at the top. After the match, Cardiffs manager Hepburn admitted that Wolves were far too good for his team, saying " Wolves thoroughly deserved their win, they were excellent and that is largely down to the tactical brilliance of their manager Steve, who is in fact my god."

icon_biggrin.gif

Other Wolves results so far

Preston 2-6 Wolves - Mickey MOuse Cup

Bradford 2-2 Wolves - League

Sheff Weds 1-5 Wolves - Mickey Mouse Cup

Wolves 5-0 Crewe - League

Cardiff Return After Slump

After a fantastic start to the season by reaching 3rd place in Division 1 a play off place looked within easy reach for the welsh club. However just as things were going well, the form of Cardiff FC got worse and worse, Manager Hepburn said "Its getting past unbelievable, I really dont no whats happened all of a sudden were riding high and then we get landslide and lose a lot of points and league places" he also added "I will turn it around thats for sure, it will just take a little bit of time". Chairmen Hamamm was pleased with Hepburns comments and said "I have a lot of faith in this manager, he got us promoted and it aint easy in this Division, the lad is doing a great job".

After such a difficult time Cardiff fans are said to be delighted as Hepburn has managed to bring them back upto 5th in the league after falling down to 13th due to bad run of form.

The Sky Is The Limit

Sky Blues Boss Brown has slowly started to get his team out of the depth of the lower part of division 1 into a more respectable league position, currently in 10th place, Brown will be hoping to make the play offs and eventually get promoted in his 3rd attempt at trying to reach the top flight. Brown was seemed frustrated in his latest interview with the saying "We got good players here at the club and they need to relise that they need to do more than turn up every week". This voice of concern was also added by comments from the Sky Blues Chairmen Bryan Richardson who said "We are paying Premiership wages and were still in Division One, something will have to be changed soon if we dont get into the top league as the club need the revenue". The Coventry board have put Browns job as Very Insecure and will carefully look at his league form, anything less than Promotion could see him get the sack.

Wanderes Are Rushden To The Title

with the season almost at a close, Wolves look to seal the Division 1 title once more after last seasons disspointments in the top flight. Riddell said "We done it once already so doing it a 2nd time wasnt too hard especially with the layers we got at the club". Chairmen Jack Hayward said "He's brought us once into the top flight, i had every confidence in him that he can once again bring us back their".

Division 2 champions Rushden are looking to secure that second vital automatic promotion place, although many points behind Wolves they certainly have shown they can compete with the team at the top. Manager Johnston told us "I had every confidence that the team could compete at this level, i knew we do well". Chairmen Griggs said "I knew the team would do alright, but I really didnt expect them to do this well in such a short time, the manager is doing a fantastic job". This was followed by radio phone ins from fans praising the work Johnston has done so far at the club.

Reading Difficulties??

Well its gone from bad to worse down at the Madejski Stadium, now in the heart of the relegation zone manager Farwell is really stuck for options. After leaving his beloved Swindon after troubled times in Division 1 its feared he might leave his current club Reading. Chairmen John Madejski said "I hope Paul stays with us, he did a fantastic job in getting us into Division One, something we didnt expect, he seems something of a Division 2 specialist and should we go down, he'd be the man to take us back up". Farwell was unfortunatly not upto much of an interview with us but said "Its not over yet, theres are still a few games left till the end of the season". If he leaves the Madejski stadium we will certainly found out soon, plenty of clubs that would love a manager like this.

WBA Challenge Burns

After a brilliant start to the Premiership it now looks that West Broms fantastic season has started to falter slightly, after riding high in the top flight with gaining 1st place and holding if for quite some time they seemed to have lost the Bottle. After the double league cup champions crashed out of the cup at the quarter final stage their run in the cups seemed have been stopped for good this season, the defending FA Cup champions crashed out at the 3rd round this season with also losing on away goals rule in the Uefa Cup to Leverkusen. Manager Koprivnik wasnt troubled at all with this as he said "Our aim is to get into the champions league, we've shown that were capable of winning the domestic cups". Currently 5pts behind 3rd place, WBA will be hoping to see one of the top 3 to slip up to enable WBA to get their entry into the Champions league. Chairmen Paul Thompson said "It will be dissapointing to go trophyless, especially after all the cups we won last year, although retaining Premiership status is our number one issue".

City Roller Coaster

Its been quite a roller coaster down at Maine Road with Man City going up and down in the league. Not too bothered about it is manager Vermeer who said "First we need to make sure we stay in the premiership, from then on we can build up". Already gearing up for next season is manager Vermeer as he is looking to already bring in 7 new faces to Maine Road. Chairmen Berstein said "Vince has done quite a good so far, he has brought us back to the top flight were we belong, we will now be looking for his big plans to move us even further up the league"

Boston Revived

After a terrible mid season finally manager Gold is turning things around again and making Boston a winning team once more. Gold said "It took some time, we needed a completely new formation to suit our new play and new opponents". With some top quality signings at the club Gold will be hoping to make it his 3rd promotion in as many years as Boston are in 2nd place after a 14 game unbeaten run. Chairmen Pat Malkinson said "Its fantastic to see Gold turn it round it so soon, it was frustrating at times" Although a long way behind the league leaders, they are still catch able, especially if the 2 games in hand are both won. There was only one complaint though by Gold "The fixture list, its a complete joke, the FA need to sort it out".

Good update, Steve, but I'd also like to point out that reigning League Cup (Important competition by the way) holders West Brom, as managed by Kristian, were humiliated 0-4 (four) at home to Wolves, as can be seen HERE icon_biggrin.gif.

I also drew with Paul 3-3, despite throwing away a 3 goal lead. icon_mad.gif

Wasnt all bad though, after extra time Wolves humped Liverpool 5-3 in the League cup semi, i play arsenal in the final, and as its likely that they'll get a CL spot, Wolves are probably in Europe for the first time icon_cool.gif.A lso went on a 27 game unbeaten run in all competitions:). So I did ok icon_razz.gif

other teams - WBA: Good chance of winning the Prem, excellent season for kris. Man City: Vince is doing a better job of staying in the prem than I did last time round, and has had a good, if inconsistent first season in the top league. Rushden: Dave is likely to go up with me to the prem, excellent first season in div 1. Cardiff: Andys playoff hopes are still strong despite a terrible run of form mid season. Coventry: In mark's abscence, the team has fallen down the league a bit but now that he's back, theyre picking up a few wins, and a playoff spot is still a realistic target.

Reading: Difficult first season in Division 1 for Paul, but there is still a good chance of survival. Boston: Despite his constant moaning about fixtures, the board, tactics and so on (;)) Steve is still looking good for a 3rd successive promotion.

and for **** sake the rest of you, post more in this thread!

Couldnt have put the last thing any better really.

Yes fixtures are ****ing me off cos i have a game almost every 3 days, like that would happen in real life. It cause my team big problems which caused us to have a very bad form. But now were on a good unbeaten run in the league and looking good to make promotion, but its early days.

Got to agree gadge that the others in this game have to post more in this thread. It seems that there are only myself, Robbo, Dave, Steve and Paul who seem to post quite regualrly on this thread. Kristian pops up with the odd post but not enough. Mark I do not think has posted once in this thread along with Vince. An important part of the game is posting updates, banter etc to keep the game going so come on guys lets get posting. I mean look at that NWCM clan or wotever it's called they have over 700 posts and there are less in that game than this one I think.

You can ask people to post but its upto them if they actually do it. The thread can be a bit quiet at times but i guess that the game itself is running pretty smoothley so it can make up for it icon_smile.gif
