BigRoboCrouch
South Africa 2010 isnt over yet...i could say Sneijder but what if Villa scores 1 or 2 goals in the final?
The Pain
Xavi .
Leppard
Schweinsteiger has looked pretty good too. But I reckon Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Sneijder and Schweinsteiger could win it. Depends on the final really.
Dr_dR3
By no means should it be Sneijder. He has scored and assisted a lot of goals but his in game play has been nothing but awful. Schweinsteiger should win it imo
Ruud van Nistelrooy
How would Iniesta win? Had a dreadful tournament. Voted for Schweinsteiger who has been brilliant. Forlan has been incredible for Uruguay too, would never have got as far without him. His goals and general play have been great, especially considering he is the star man of that team. Villa has dug Spain out a few times and has played really well, and Robben and Sneijder have been great too.

joe__the__man
Between Sneijder and Schweinsteiger with Villa a distant third. Went for Sneijder but it's 50/50 imo.
pouncer
I voted for Villa, although I'm probably not right. He's impressed me every time I've seen him - even tonight when he had a "quiet" game he caused all sorts of problems for Germany.
joe__the__man
Also, how can Honda, Iniesta and Robben be nominated without mentioning Ozil and Muller?
iamjerome
diego forlan. has been the sole creative outlet for uruguay and truly been near enough sensational imo. obviously a couple of long range goals but still, his play and leading of uruguay's attack's been absolute class. Sleepydude
Wesley Sneijder. If Holland manage a win against Spain he could become the first player ever to win the league, cup, CL, and world cup in a single season.
joe__the__man
Wesley Sneijder. If Holland manage a win against Spain he could become the first player ever to win the league, cup, CL, and world cup in a single season. Made particularly outstanding considering he's been the main (only) creative outlet in both sides.

charlo116
haha good one djvandyke. Holland have been fairly unimpressive in their performances but they've gotten results and Sneijder has been driving them forwards.
PluckaDuck
I'd say Wesley Sneijder but Schweinsteiger and Villa are not far behind. Heitinga also deserves a shout.
Venn
Didn't vote for him, but just wanted to point out Forlán has made me "feel" like Suker did in France
hd644
1. Sneijder 2. Villa . . . . . 3. Schweinsteiger
Müller1469564937
Lmao @ Iniesta. He's had an awful tournament.
Micado
Heitinga also deserves a shout.Agreed, he is having a good tournamentAlso, how can Honda, Iniesta and Robben be nominated without mentioning Ozil and Muller? imo only players who reaches the SF can be considered, so Honda can't be in that list and very strange that Müller and Ozil aren't in this poll. For me, Sneijder, but if we loose the final it probably will be Villa.
Qolumbo
I voted for Forlan, as he's almost single handedly carried his team. Özil and Müller would have been more worthy nominations than some of the ones listed instead.
Qolumbo
I decided to make a best XI as well, but can't decide on the left back. Stekelenburg Lahm Puyol Friedrich ??? Schweinsteiger Müller Özil Sneijder Forlan Villa
SeanNUFC
forlan easily people would all be saying him if he was in the final.

robbert_o154
I decided to make a best XI as well, but can't decide on the left back. Caceres in with a shout, imo. Even though he isn't really a left back.
Micado
I decided to make a best XI as well, but can't decide on the left back. Gio van Bronckhorst! Or even Capdevilla perhaps.
Sleepydude
Maybe Salcido as left back?
dudge7
My pre-tournament prediction of Higuain is emphatically wrong Would have to say Villa. Constantly causing problems for defences and scored 5 of Spain's 7 goals. Forlan 2nd, been so important for Uruguay.
Meitheisman
I decided to make a best XI as well, but can't decide on the left back.Stekelenburg Lahm Puyol Friedrich ??? Schweinsteiger Müller Özil Sneijder Forlan Villa Coentrao (sp?) of Portugal really impressed me at LB.

tcoleman1
I would say Schweiny or Xavi. Xavi looked good last night, can't really remember him from other games. I think Sneijder has been good but if you look back on his goals, one was an own goal, one a deflection and the other a goalkeeping mistake. Has been good but again nothing fantastic. Schweinsteiger Müller Özil Sneijder Forlan Villa Also I don't agree with Stekenlenurg. He has been solid and looked quite shaky at points e.g. Forlan's goal but then no other keepers have stood out. Muslera was as good as him.
tcoleman1
He also had two brilliant passes/assists on Robben. Yeah but over six games you can pretty much discount all of his goal for lucky pot shots that he had no control over I didn't say he had been bad but let's not do an ITV man of the match and give people the award just because they have scored and couple. Cannot remember his assists but shouldn't be given it just for them. I think he's a good player but so so selfish sometimes.
DJ
Went for Schweini. Sneijder comes a close second though.
Crazy_T
look, it definitely isn't xavi or iniesta. I would go with either forlán, villa or schweinsteiger.
Astafjevs
David Villa probably. Dragged Spain through when they weren't playing well, and came up with the bit of quality when they were but against a team with 10-men behind the ball.
Jeff
Where is Van Bommel?????
PluckaDuck
As for the goal-keeper of the tournament, Eduardo, Iker or Adler.
Koki
As for the goal-keeper of the tournament, Eduardo, Iker or Adler. Adler should really get the goalkeeper-trophy, he didn't concede one single goal!
RubenJ
Where is Van Bommel????? yeah he was easily better than Sneijder. Sneijder has been lucky. His general play was absolutely dreadful throughout, but somehow managed to score lucky decisive goals and give the key passes. Of course I'm not saying it's all luck, he has bags of ability, but he's been nowhere near his Inter best this tournament.
Rebs
Schweiny for me - Sneijder has been good...but hasn't controlled games the way Schweinsteiger has...I also think Honda had a great tournament as well, and that Khedira lad from Germany looks decent. Tom14
Xavi for me. Although there have been a few impressive consistent performers this WC. Was close to going for Schweinsteiger, or Villa, or Sneijder.
