tcoleman1
Is Vidal more a Wing Back or CM, i wasn't sure from the graphic above? I think the idea is him to defend as a lb and then push forward into cm when they attack
Catracho
Game-over. Chile 1-0 Honduras. Switzerland. Suazo to play in that game.

gunner4eva
Gonzalez is just awful. Most selfish and useless player i have seen in 5 minutes.
Pukey
Chile One of the better teams I've seen tbh.

tcoleman1
Will be interesting to see Humberto Suazo when he can play? Will he be ready for their next games? Someone with a bit of composure up front and they look great.

Samba Magician
All in all, thought it was a good match. Certainly the best 1-0 win I've seen so far....unless I'm forgetting a blatently obvious one that is
tcoleman1
My sources were correct imo Don't think it was the most entertaining. Germany game was just as good and Brazil game yesterday was pretty good. SA v Mexico also good.
UTT
Is Vidal more a Wing Back or CM, i wasn't sure from the graphic above? Yeah, from what I could see Bravo; Ponce, Medel, Isla; Carmona; Vidal, Millar; Fernandez; Beausejour, Valdivia, Sanchez Millar was tucked inside more to allow Isla to run forward

Dr_dR3
Chili are great. I can imagine how they lost 3-0 to counter-attacking Brazil though.
rougess
It's quite strange that for all their attacking endeavour, Chile's only goal was still relatively fortunate. Obviously goals are not going to be easy to come by in this tournament.

Ty
Only 1-0 but Chile played red hot football... and peppered the Honduras goal with shots.
HL7
Only 1-0 but Chile played red hot football... and peppered the Honduras goal with shots. You suck Good game though, really impressed with Chile. Hopefully the rest of the world takes note on how to play out an entertaining game of football.
Misodoctakleidist
Tyoldinho got both puns in there but still failed to come up with the headline that will surely adorn many newspapers tomorrow morning: Red Hot Chile Pepper Hondouras Goal!

Standard liege!
Just watched the 2nd half of this (Watched the full 1st half at college) and I though it was an arlight game tbf. Glad Chile won Chile and the Swiss to qualify please! Good to see Guevara, former TFC player

Helarxe
As a curiosity, this result takes Chile to its highest ever rating and position in the rankings by football Elo ratings. If they make it out of the group they may well turn out to be the best team Chile ever had. I for one can easily see them beating Brazil.

PMLF
Surely Brazil are perfectly set-up to counter against Chile's style? That said I'd expect Chile to reign themselves in a bit more against Brazil. Yes, Brazil in Dunga's era always crush Chile: 2007 - Brazil 4-0 (friendly) 2007 - Brazil 3-0 (Copa América) 2007 - Brazil 6-1 (Copa América) 2008 - Brazil 3-0 (Quals, in Chile) 2009 - Brazil 4-2 (Quals, in Brazil) Chilean players are too undersized compared to Brazilian ones, and since they are a very attacking team, they are too vulnerable to Brazil's counter-attacks. Helarxe
All that is true. On the other hand, Dunga.
PMLF
I think these games against Chile were so good for Brazil exactly because of Dunga (and Bielsa).
Trildor
Screamed myself hoarse at the goal with the rest of my classmates (match was at 7:30 here). Great match, Honduras has earned my respect.
Catracho
The Goalie was the highlight of our moment. Spain certainly make things interesting as Honduras will bunker for dear life as Spain will look for a much needed 3 points. We'll see how they cope against another counter-attacking side that will see 2 very fast players in Edgar and Suazo.
