As you can see by the amount of balls going past the off stump. then again I know I could hit them, full toss at the base off the middle stump would be the most accurate surely?
Zvonimir Boban
Doshi's ball where he started celebrating and then the ball turned and missed offstump was brilliant Carter not even hitting the cut strip Azhar Mahmood with the big brass balls
atvkwkad
you'd think so tbh. Bowl it full, aim at middle stump - you'd think it was too obvious
Zvonimir Boban
It's a lot easier said than done tbh
ericcantona7
I'm going to try it tomorrow, although I've only bowled 3/4 overs on a full length pitch in my life (if that) I reckon I could get at least 5 out of 10, although it'll be a tennis ball, and my drive way, and I don't know what to use for the stumps.
Zvonimir Boban
If you ignore the fact that a tennis ball is a different size and weight to a crikeet ball and it won't swing like the white ball then it's gonna be a conclusive experiment ;0 But yeah, it was quite embarassing how poor some of the efforts were
ericcantona7
it's the same principal , and yeah I'll be bowling quite full balls anyway so swing shouldn't really come into it
Zvonimir Boban
tbh the way I'd do it is bowl little offbreaks outside offstump but that's just because I can bowl offpsin fairly accurately. No idea how easy other people find it.
ericcantona7
never bowled an offbreak in my life. as I said before are there any rules on how they can bowl? as bowling underarm would surely be more accurate, but maybe they have to bowl overarm and it has to bounce.
Zvonimir Boban
Weren't allowed to bowl underarm as far as I know

ericcantona7
not too bad for Scotland, they've at least got a chance of winning one, whereas in the other groups (in theory at least) they should'nt have. If their games against Aus and RSA are rained off and they beat Holland then they'll qualify shame it's not being held in Manchester, and yeah Ireland could beat Zimbabwe
Pedwar Pump
Excellent group for England, NZ will be tough but the other 2 are guaranteed wins. Don't hold out too much hope for us over all though, 1 dayers are not our strong point and not sure we'll improve enough by then.

ericcantona7
top 4 qualify from the super 8, and we've proven we can beat anyone in the ODIs, we can also lose to most teams too though, to win an ODI you just need 2/3 players to put in a world class performance. ericcantona7
Lancs 154/8 (40) Essex 36/1 (10) they were well ahead a couple of minutes ago, but Anderson got a wicket and Cork slowed their run rate down and this could be close if we can get a couple more wickets quickly.
