Tactical help for Man Utd

Recommended Posts

I find that a regular 4-4-2 works really well for Man Utd, can't really go wrong there. Or one with two wingers and two CMs is what I usually play with them.

GK: Goalkeeper (D): Van Der Sar

RB: Right Fullback (Auto): Evra

CB: Centreback (Stopper): Vidic

CB: Ball-Playing Defender (Cover): Ferdinand

LB: Left Wingback (Auto): Evra

CM: Deep-Lying Playmaker (S): Carrick/Scholes/Giggs

CM: Ball-Winning Midfielder/Box-to-Box Midfielder/Center Midfielder (S): Fletcher/Anderson/Park

AMR: Winger/Defensive Winger (A): Valencia/Park

AML: Winger/Inside Forward/Advanced Playmaker (A): Nani/Giggs/Park/Rooney

FC: Advanced Forward/Complete Forward (A): Rooney/Macheda/Owen

FC: Deep-Lying Forward (A): Berbatov/Rooney

With your squad you could play Cassano on the left wing as an Inside forward, or upfront.

A 4-5-1 with a flat backline, DM, and Wingers usually works well too, I find, as Utd have the Central Midfielders and DM to make it work. Rooney can play on the wing as well, and you have a lot of options.
