Micado
Really hope Luis Suárez will shine at the World Cup (but he must stay at Ajax). Will support them (as long as they don't play us).

Juve4EVA
Is Abel Hernandez anywhere near getting in this world cup? Probably a small chance if there are some injuries, doesn't look like he will if he's not been called up yet.

Tom14
I've seen great things from Abel Hernandez. Doesn't Albin from Getafe get anywhere near the squad? Or is he injured? Manya
Apparently Abel Hernandez will be in the extended list of 30. nothing official yet, but it seems tht he has a big chance. Albin has no chance of being in the team. Tabarez doesn't seem to rate him at all.

UTT
I am not surprised that El Loco Abreu is included in the squad. Hes 1 goal off being equal top record goalscorer for Uruguay. Very underrated player IMO.
PMLF
Yes, he is not a good player, but he is a great goalscorer. When he arrived to Botafogo he said he would make them win the Rio State League, and guess what, he did that and Botafogo won it rather easily thanks in part to him (and to Joel Santana, their manager). cool dude
I watched a few Uruguay qualifiers and they were the best "beautiful" football playing team in South America, better than Brazil - they just dont have the resilience that Brazil have in their current side.. but I can see them going far with a little bit of luck. I'd say they are better than Argentina

Crazy_T
yeah I think lodeiro is the back up to nacho gonzález, they are similar kinds of player. I don't like 3-5-2 but it suits their players well and they all know their roles.
Juve4EVA
Took a guess at Lodeiro because he was used in the games against Costa Rica and some friendly in March, coach seems to be keeping his options open between those two. Don't like the 3 man defense, but Maxi Pereira is sort of taking a wing back role on the right side I guess.
Micado
He was very good in the game against Costa Rica, but at that time he was playing a lot for his club, since he arrived at Ajax he didn't play that much and mostly as a sub.
PMLF
Uruguayan national team doctor Edgardo Barbosa thanked Altamiro Bottino (Botafogo's physiologist) for his work with Botafogo player Sebastián Abreu, who is very fit for the World Cup: Estimado Altamiro: Yo soy el Dr. Edgardo Barbosa teniendo como especialidades la Cardiología y la Medicina del Deporte. joe__the__man
Have they ever played a simple 4-2-3-1, it looks to suit them best imo. Muslera Perreira Lugano Godin Caceres Perez Gargano Cavani - - - Gonzalez - - - Suarez Forlan
Manya
Tabarez tried something similar early in the qualifiers with Abreu up top with Forlan, Suarez, I Gonzalez or C Rodriguez supporting. It didn't work very well, a lot of costly draws at home. Last time was against Colombia with Forlan behind Suarez, C. Rodriguez and Cavani on the wings. Didn't last long as we got a player sent off early in the first half and had to change the system.
