Coop
If a player is on the transfer list at £3.4M (for example), and this is acceptable to the selling team, then why do teams offer more? Surely the extra money would then go on the players contract or signing on fee. You're not going to pay £4M when you don't need to.
craigcwwe
Yeah Chelsea just offered £1.75m more than i asked for. I was happy about that though as you can imagine.
mrmeee17
Do subsequent offers below that value but above or equal to the asking price still get accepted?
FrazT
If there were more than one team interested in the player, you might bid more to be sure of getting him.
craigcwwe
Do subsequent offers below that value but above or equal to the asking price still get accepted? I have it set so that i can accept any offers that come in , whereas sometimes you can reject lower offers that come in.
mrmeee17
Yeah was referring to the o/p actually. That may be a possible reason for such teams' behavior.
robertcornell68
I don't think it's strange. Chelsea are just using their financial muscle to barge the opposition out of the way. You've never done that?
