Extreme measures from Cash and McMaster at Aurora Park

Chairman Kerry Cash: Good Evening Gentlemen. We’d like to start by congratulating our players for their efforts over the last season, but we can’t. Northern Extreme are about more than being also rans for the title. With this in mind we have taken decision together to release ALL our players, with the exception of Fernando Torres, at the end of the season. There will be no Frank Lampard, no Toure, no The Cassano – i think you get the picture.

Press: But what about this season? Surely morale is going to hit rock bottom with 3 games to go?

Manager Kodaly McMaster:On the contrary. All season long we have chased New Bloc. They have taunted and teased us all the way. We are in agreement. The message to Mr Uljarevic is... Stop New Bloc at all costs.

Press:But surely the League will be won by then?

McMaster: Nobody has won this yet, and if it came down to them coming to our patch and having to get the result to win the league, well, they said they’d kick us off the park last time we met. This time we’ll play them off the park like a proper football team.

Press: That’s quite a special relationship you got there with Danilo Uljarevic, Mr McMaster.

McMaster: Hehe, Mr Uljarevic knows what we are about. The competition between us is fierce – they are a bit uncultured that butch but after our game we’ll have a chat and a couple of nippy sweeties and look forward to the next season where the leagues will be more competitive from top to bottom!

Kerry Cash: We believe we have a greater vision for the future and have started building this already. Tonight we will unveil a goalkeeper and five defenders to join Tito in that future. Gentlemen i give the first pieces in the jigsaw...

GK Tomas Kuszczak,

DF Rafael, Stephen Jordan, Daniel Agger, Titus Bramble, Vidic

Thank You.

New Bloc hits back!

The unfamiliar figure of the new owner of New Bloc F.C., Polish born Symon Bozek, stepped up to the podium.

"You see, Mr. McMaster, times change. It is a era of greatness here at New Bloc FC and while we are appreciative of Mr. Uljarevic he decided it was time to move on. As such, our stadium is now know as Stadion Uljarevic, an eternal reminder to you especially of the greatness that Mr. Uljarevic brought this club."

"Now, some people may wonder who is the new man to take over here? Well, I must say that we asked Danilo who we wanted to come take over for him. He singled out one man. This man is cut from the same, unorthodox cloth that Danilo is cut from. I am happy to announce the newest member of the New Bloc family, our new manager, Hryhorii Zahorchak!"

"Now Kodaly, I know that you will miss Danilo here, and so will I, he is a good friend and a great manager. But as Mr. Bozek said, times change and I am here to usher New Bloc into the next era of greatness that we envision. I will love at nothing to do it at your expense. Not only will we win the title this season, we will make history by becoming the first T2B team to repeat as premiership champions and their isn't anything you can do to stop me."

Wait, is this the first XI (by that I mean the first one we enter in the list) that we've just received? Because I put big offers for most of the players, other than striker 2 and the wingers my lowest bid was £13m, just the players I've recieved seem crap in comparison to the prices.

Guest roberto922

Yeah I know, but when we entered the 11 prices on the players list, the first part of the players section, is the XI we just got from those bids? If so the likes of Loojay must have bid £15m plus on a number of players to get a much better squad than me.

i.e. if Jaaskelainen costs me £13m how much would Casillas have been?

Need...quality...goalkeeper...

(Just a note: I didn't bid more than 10mil on any player for the English XI =D)

Stars of Melbourne FC are looking like Fellani and Obertan atm...

Hey Andy, can the FM09 teams get confirmation on their second/fourth player?

Its all Coming Together I

The press were all present as the first conference was held in the offices of Fafeful United at Estadio Municipal. Chairman Des Tiny was quick to introduce his manager Aleksander Radakovic alongside him.

"Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the new beginnings here in Fafe, tonight we are here to announce the first steps in building our great new club. I have managed to find funding and a major kit sponsor for the club, which I will announce a little later. First here is former Serbian international superstar Aleksander Radakovic who I have appointed as Manager of Fafeful United."

As Des sat back down the crowd in the room go crazy with questions as they try to get involved and ask questions, a man stands and gets them hushed down before Mr Radakovic steps up to the podium and grins out at the crowd. He starts to speak,

"Hello everyone, I am delighted to be here tonight. First I apologise for my poor English, it is my fourth language and I am still get used to it. Now moving on, I was pleased to have Des call and offer me this position. I had played with him for ten years at AD Fafe in the past and together we shall make this club a great. Des gave me free reign on signings and a large amount of money to get out there and do it. My first two targets were for the front and back, I managed to get my exact targets as we pulled in Hulk to add some Brazilian flair to the front of our squad. Next thought was a keeper, I wanted someone who could run the team for a few years and targetted German Rene Adler. Once he agreed to join the club I could begin to build around them. There will definitely be more signings to report tonight, but I believe Des has another announcement first."

Des climbs up towards the podium and a thin man with spectacles and wearing a suit slowly walks to the podium alongside him.

"Well, I must say I am delighted to see some international flavour coming into our club and following on from that standing along side me is the Brand Director of our newest sponsor. This is Stephen McHugh from Orange Telecommunications, they have agreed to be our main kit sponsor for the new season with a 2 year deal. Thank you Stephen, delighted to be affiliated with such a great company, so now without further ado wearing our home jersey here is our Brazilian Superstar....HULK..."

Hulk comes wandering out in the new Fafeful United Home Jersey and spins infront of the awaiting media before taking one of the empty seats alongside Aleksander Radakovic.

fafefulutd.png

"And now joining him on stage we have our new goaltender, the German Spiderman is wearing our Goalkeepers home jersey, here he is...RENE ADLER"

Rene Adler comes out slowly wearing a great looking black jersey and walks across the stage before he sits down alongside Hulk in the front row taking up the last seat in front.

What you've done, and me and without doubt some other people, is bid high for the first XI (which are based in England).

However, all the best players in England ( as well as other places) have already been snapped up in the "best player draft", so even if you bid hundreds of millions on one player, you wouldn't be getting Rooney or whoever.

I think this is due to getting our sign up forms in before we knew quite how the player assignment was going to work.

But, hey, it's not the end of the world. :)

Its all Coming Together II

Just as Adler takes his seat, Des turns and looks towards Radakovic and gestures back towards the podium. Aleksander walks up and pats Des on the shoulder, as the pair stand together and look out at the press.

"Now it must be time for me to announce some more players, up first I think we should mention the other goalkeeper that I managed to get the contract of. He has had a great career, but he has been unable to break into an international team of any kind. I wish to present Manuel Almunia who shall be playing in a rotation with Rene Adler, and hopefully he will be willing to coach our future when it gets near to his retirement."
"And here comes Almunia wearing our Goalkeeper's away jersey, this was designed by a few local children. They were told to try and incorporate something of our teams style and also something a bit different."

goalkeeperaway.png

Manuel Almunia comes walking out in the faded yellow goalkeepers jersey and wanders down to the front row of the press before he turns and sits down behind Rene Adler in the second row on the stage.

"I must say those young kids did a brilliant job with that jersey, its exactly like what I wanted. And I am also very pleased to welcome these three players into our club, there are some good signings there and I am pleased I trusted Aleksander to make the signings. I really cannot wait to see who else he has signed."

Des Tiny winks at the crowd and holds his hand out towards Radakovic and grins as Aleksander winks back.

"Right well now it is time for me to announce some of the signings I have put together for our outfield. Firstly I will bring out our midfield signings, I searched far and wide for these four signings. In the end though my long journeys brought me back to England for the first two signings as I added Danny Pugh to the club, the versatile midfielder is going to be a great asset for our team right across the middle. Also from England the next member of the Fafeful will be Steve Sidwell, with two 27 year old Englishmen in the middle we are sure to have good communication. Joining them is Liam Lawrence from Ireland, at 28 he may only have one cap for his national side, but he is going to look good with the rest of the boys."

Des leans over and taps Aleks on the shoulder, he pauses and steps back from the podium slightly.

"I thought I would take this one, I was delighted to be able to bring another southern hemisphere star into the side. It was a little of my own knowledge alongside the expertise of our backroom that completed this deal, so I am excited to introduce to you, the South African star and our midfield leader...STEVE PIENAAR!"

Steve Pienaar comes wandering out onto the stage followed by the three other midfielders who all wave at the gathered press before joining Almunia in the second row up on stage.

"Now to this point we have made four more signings, all of them are involved in the defense. This is going to be the core of our team as we hope to bring in some youth signings to line up alongside them and build for the future as we still try to win the league with this team, so here we go, up first is the Welsh International, he has made 37 appearances for his national side, and can play right across the backline...Sam Ricketts. The next signing I made saw me back in Ireland, and I managed to pick up uncapped 24 year old Irish fullback Stephen Ward. He will play opposite Ricketts in the team and look to make a name for himself. Next I was looking to cement the centre of the park, first up was a slightly versatile Jamaican, Nyron Nosworthy will be joining the club, and the biggest name that I have managed to add to the defense is none other than Norwegian Superstar and veteran of 53 international appearances... BREDE HANGELAND!"
"And these four defenders are wearing our teams away jersey for the 2009/10 season, its a delightful black jersey with just a dash of yellow and will look great in the future on our fans as we travel to face all of our opposition."
goalkeeperaway.png

fafefulaway1.png

The four defenders come out and spin slowly infront of the crowd Hangeland pats Tiny on the back as he goes past and the four of them climb into the back row alongside Pienaar.

"Well everyone, I would like to thank you all for being here tonight and I hope that you can all join us again in the future when we welcome new players into the fold as I am sure there will be many more to come. Until then I will leave you with this current expected team list, that should clear up our expected line-up going forward."

Loojay has bid big money; he has also got a ton of debt to start the game. You could argue it is unfair that he gets some really good players to start but I didn't specify that you had to remain within £300m - it is a gamble/mistake that he has taken/made. Starting nearly £200m in debt can't be healthy for his team.

These are the players you get for those bids, that is correct. I am using Barcelona's best scout to scout each position's English based players. When I have 200+ scout reports, I then sift out the ones whose best position is the one I'm doing whether that be GK/RB/LB etc ... Then I sort every one of the 33 teams by their bids using Excel. Then I assign the players depending on the scouts rating of their current ability.

Jaaskelainen was rated as one of the top eight keepers in England. The likes of Casillas haven't been involved in this process - they will be in the Euro GK section. The little bit of luck needed is with the age of the keepers - you've got a bigger GK bid and got one of the better GK but he is a little older than some others. That's the luck of the draw I'm afraid.

Ah of course, thanks for clearing that up Weeeman. Such a waste of money /o\ Striker 1 bid was £16m, hopefully I'll get someone decent there. Would have actually been better off with my original bids before I resent, ah well.

So my starting XI (so far) will be:

GK: Julio Cesar

DR: John O'Shea

DL: Stephen Warnock

DC: Branislav Ivanovic

DC: Robert Huth

DMC: Patrick Vieira

CM: Someone

CM: Someone

AMC: Stephen Ireland

ST: Wayne Rooney

Subs: Wade Elliot, Cedric van der Gun

As long as I can get a couple of decent centre mids and a CB that side should do alright

EDIT: Yeah I understand now GCB. Just gotta hope that others bid low on the other players like I did. When are you doing the strikers? :)

And Loojays the new Portsmouth ;)

Essendon FC Introduces a brand new lineup for the 2010 Season

Despite Essendon FC still competing in the 2009 season, including an FA Cup final meeting with New Bloc later this season, they have decided to completly revamp the team, with only 2 FM09 players keeping their spot in the 2010 roster so far (note that more signing will be announced).

The 2010 lineup so far is:

GK: Diego Cavaliera

DR: Tony Hibbert

DL: Leighton Baines

DC: Alex

DC: Ferdinand

MR: Sebastien Larsson

ML: Ricardo Gardner

MC: Stiltan Petrov

MC: Yossi Benayoun

ST: Lionel Messi

ST: TBA

Sub: Roger Johnson

Whilst some of the names announced may not be superstars (with the exception of the returning Messi of course!), chairman Mark Mota is happy with the players announced so far, especially the defence, with Baines, Alex and Ferdinand sure to make us water tight at the back.

And of course, there are more players to be anounced, including some European stars (hopefully!) and some of the best young talent in England, so stay tuned!

Under New Ownership

Vfb. Rammstein no longer exists has we knew it. Wolfram Krancke has sold the club, although it is unsure as to how much he received for doing so. It had been widely reported that he was looking to sell, even at his own admission. He was quoted as saying "My plans for the close season are to get rid of this club. I am tired of running this club and am ready to get rid of it so someone else can come in and waste their time here." This surely couldn't have made him very popular with the fan base. However, the new owner has seen fit to possibly alienate the fan base by changing the name of the club. Vfb. Rammstein are now Hallendren Awakeners FC.

New chairman, Lightsong, was kind enough to sit down for an interview, and left us with a few quotes. In response to a question regarding the previous owners, he commented "I can't even remember who they were, it seems like it was another life for me and this club. I am still not sure that I am the right man for the job, but everyone keeps giving me responsibility. Maybe something will come to me and I will run this club well, but I am just a useless chairman. Want a grape?"

"So how did you gain ownership of this club if you can't even remember who the former owner's were?" "Well, I don't know, I woke up one day and I was told that I was the new owner of Vfb. Rammstein, and I thought to myself, what a useless name, a proper club needs a much better name than that, and I renamed them Hallendren Awakeners, and we even have brand new kits, which are to be displayed later today, from what my advisors have told me. We are also set to unveil a few players from our squad, although there will be more to come in the next few days as everything gets sorted out."

Lightsong has brought in a completely unknown manager, except maybe to him, by the name of Vasher. Vasher was unavailable for comment at this time, but we are going to continue to try to get any information on who he is and what he brings to the club from a managerial perspective.

I'm glad your stuck in the Championship for the first season!!

Awesome :D So a few points basically;

1) Lower income

2) Lower reputation means lower prices for the players that will eventually be sold

3) Huge wages for a Championship club

4) Huge debts

5) Most will be gone within a year leaving a big rebuilding process.

That is also known as: He's screwed.

Don't think you can. maybe [embed]

Oh and a much easier way of doing this scouting malarkey would be using the search and ratings system of FMRTE, it gives you the % of ability of a player in each position, and you can filter them, e.g. if you want a RB with rating over 75% you'd just do the search.
