I read that, €2m seems an alright price for an experience international quality goalkeeper, especially for one which their agent dubiously claims would have been Arsenals first choice.

We're also linked with Thomas Hitzlsperger, anyone have any opinions? Also to a lesser extent, linked with Hulk, but I chose to ignore that.

Real Madrid are this season Man City, they will be linked to everyone.

If they have Sergio Ramos at right back why would they want Sagna?

This season? Real are linked with the top players every year since god knows when, I can't remember the last summer they were not linked to at least one of our players.

I love Eboue. He's not a star player, but he's got quality in there somewhere. He was pretty stunning when he first hit the scene in the 2005/2006 season. He went from zero to nearly-but-not-quite hero in that season. Nobody had ever heard of him at the start of the year, but come the end of the season he was playing in the CL final against Barcelona.

Remember that cross he delivered against Charlton which set up RVP for that wonderful volley?

Ultimately, I think Wenger killed him off by buying Sagna and moving him into midfield, which was always going to shoot down his confidence. At that age it's tough to be introduced to the ways of a modern football club - Eboue was playing well before Sagna came. But Sagna was better, end of. The position was Sagna's. That's the way it works at the top I guess, and I feel sorry for Eboue because of this.

I know my passion for Eboue is a little deluded considering his recent form, and his general style of play - but I think he's had a tough ride of late. He climbed from Beveren, to Arsenal, to a Champions League Final too quickly. He was at the peak of the mountain before he'd really begun climbing almost - so in some ways it was always going to be a long fall down before he could climb again.

I also stumbled upon this beauty in my hunt for Eboue videos. It might interest Jamez as it's Ade related:

Huh? Eboues always happy.
I know that but im saying his face doesnt look the happiest, it was a joke god dammit :D I know I'm not very good at them.

Eboue had a bad patch but he gives us something different to the team and is a brilliant squad player.

O ok, yeah you're not a very good joker :)

he was booed by the Gunners fans back in December after coming off the bench against Wigan and was himself substituted.

ffs why do they always mention this. The people who booed him were a minority. Obviously the same ones who said they wanted wenger out some time ago. :thdn:
