Non-English International England Team Challenge.

Non-English International England Team Challenge.

The idea of this challenge is to have no English players within your international squad,

It takes 5 years to gain British nationality,

Other nations are allowed with some being quicker than others

for instance belgium.

Any player that is not British (or nation your plan on playing as) by birth can be played,

for instance Manuel Almunia would be ok (but would prob be to old by the time you got enough players

and quite often get called up by spain)

Take over any club you want, Clubs with big transfer budgets would be easier, Sign players wait 5 years,

Take over england call them up, then try and win the next World Cup.

Simple.

or not

  • 3 months later...

Dug out FM10 again after months of non-playing thanks to the world cup making me think i can do better than what i've been watching, and after a couple of seasons with Man Utd and a couple of World Cup games i've now decided to make a return to CSE and in searching for a challenge stumbled upon this interesting idea.

I've decided to skip the waiting 5 years part (hope thats ok) there is enough players who qualify for England without being born here to start with.

Haven't taken over a club yet .. Might do at some point though, we'll see.

First England Squad under Brettney Joven's reign.

Well, brettney, you may well not qualify for the World Cup, but at least you're maintaining England's fine tradition of never having lost to an African side.

Mind, you pretty much are an African side yourself.

That's actually very good.

Mikel Arteta would be eligible if he wanted. I believe Julio Arca would too (I gave him a cap for England once).

I'd love to have both of them .. But they 'don't see any point' taking citizenship, i'm sure i've given Arca a cap before might of been on 09 though.
