Run on the original database. With BSN/BSS and above in England, Liga BBVA in Spain and Serie A in Italy.

So I've decided to start with Fleetwood, who have lived in the shadows of Blackpool for their whole existance. I'm hopefully going to change this and if all I do is climb above Blackpool it will be enough.

Season 1 - Town are on the UP!

Review

An excellent start saw us win our first 2 league matches 4-0 and 2-0, however during the first half of the season we drew too many matches that we could have got 3 points from. We did pick up midway and managed to fight our way into top spot although the joy was short lived, and we were soon back down to 3rd. And 3rd is where we finished the season which meant we would go into the playoffs.

The playoffs

Semi Final

Southport 0-2 Fleetwood

One of the highest gates of the season in the Blue Square North saw us win away from home at very tough opponents. We scored our first after only 17 minutes when Pavol Suhaj tucked away his 15th goal of the season. 5 minutes after half time and we doubled our lead, when Steven Hogg scored a 30 yard wonder strike.

Fleetwood 1-1 Southport

The highest Blue Square North gate of the season witnessed Town and Southport draw. They dominated large parts of the game and it looked as if they were going to win by a great margin, but, they failed to take their chances and when they scored deep into the second half we equalised staight away as Suhaj grabbed another goal.

Final

Fleetwood 3-2 Workington

A fantastic game which saw us gain promotion to the Blue Squre Premier. We were 2 up within 20 minutes thanks to Jorgensen and an own goal and when Mitchley put us 3 up it looked as if were going to get even more. However, Workington worked hard and despite them scoring 2 goals and making a very tense last few minutes we held on for the win.
