mrdorf
So far, as Everton, I'm getting offers for my players from big foreign club. For instance, Inter Milan want Phil Jag and he hardly ever plays for me. Previously, I had AC Milan in for Tim Cahill. I can understand it happens e.g Robbie Keane moving to Inter, but most my offers for my established players are coming from massive clubs.
Robbie S
I can't see a problem here in all honesty. Both players could certainly do a job for the clubs bidding for them, and as you have said such transfers have hapenned in real life Woodgate and Owen are another two such examples. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game; I just think that I'm getting way too much offers from foreign clubs for my players rather than from English clubs. All the English clubs go for my younger players.
erik86
It doesnt seem too realistic, especially for Cahill who isn't English anyway.

Big teams spending money on younger players for the future. Very realistic

Johnny Ace
Starting as Birmingham City, Real Madrid, Barcelona & Man City were all interested in Maik Taylor, they didn't bid though

Ari Gold
I'm certainly not complaining, but I find it a little unrealistic how big clubs will buy your gun player if you offer him for twice his value. For instance, I seem to recall offering Forlan at the start of an Atletico game for 20m (he's worth 10.5m I think). Chelsea and Man Utd came in for him. Utd had already signed Mutu and Chelsea I think had brought in Leidson. Drogba, Anelka, Rooney, Berbatov etc. were all there still. Had Forlan been playing well I could understand, but this was pre-season. Seemed a tad unrealistic (though handy). By and large I find transfers to be quite realistic though.
