Too many long shots

Im starting to crack up, even at the stage now where every single one of my players has long shots set to "rarely" and even with that I get 9 longshots every game! Ive tried all sorts of formations using the tactics creator and im still getting the same results. Yet im lucky if i get even 1 "Clear-Cut Chances" in a game even if set through balls to "high"

And the PPMs of my players are generally not "Shoot from distance".

Any fellow FMers give me advice to turn these "Long shots" into "Clear-cut chances"?????

My team is generally pushed up the pitch, thats my style of managing. Just played another game with Roma, drew 1-1 with Udinese. Has 11 long shots take to 1 clear cut chance. Im getting read to scream at the moment -_-

i have the same problem.

i tried to set all my players to never shoot from distance, by no mather what i do, they keep shooting.

I suggest having a Target Man... push him up the field. This way, the other players would mostly try to get the ball to him, which in turn might lessen the long shots they'd usually take.

Try the shout "work ball into box". It's supposed to be useful when you are shooting too many long shots and few clear cut chances.

Maybe its the player roles you have set as some generally make them take long shots or maybe the starting strategy you have, e.g. attacking or overloading puts long shots up. I know you have rarely but these strategies sometimes override if no pass is on.

I am more and more starting to believe that something is wrong with long shots. There are too many long shots from my and opposition teams and there is too many goals from long shots as well. Even from players whose long shot attribute does not allow it.

Yes i feel the ME has the problem. But it could also be creative freedom given, if the player doesnt find any pass, he makes his own decision to shoot.
