My Dark skin.

Just thought i'd share this with you. It's nothing major but i've made a few tweaks to the default dark skin which have made me slightly happier with it.

These are:

The attribute colours (and other general text colours)

Made the right hand sided logo bigger

Added a background (the one from the flex skin)

Background logos are used throughout the game

Large logos and background logos are used on the match screen

Centralised the main text

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dnjyzwfjjmt

Extract with Winzip/WinRar into your skins folder and select in your game preferences.

Despite the fact that you have made only minor changes this is sufficient to get the whole experience much more pleasant. I think you should have credit for the job well done. The attribute colours color reminds me a lot of some skins made for FM 09, which is very good because the default skin color was too weak. Again, thanks:)

Your skin looks good mate. I'm not a huge fan of those attribute colours but they are no worse than the default ones.

Is this a WIP or finished project?

It's not really a project at all to be honest. I just changed a few things on the default skin to make it nicer for me to use and just thought i'd put it up for download.

That's pretty much what I'm doing (just making minor edits to make mine a bit more "pleasant")

Good job mate

Cheers for this Dave, nice addition.

jascko - Dave's current attribute colours:

<colour name="low attribute" blue="150" red="150" green="150"/>

<colour name="normal attribute" green="255" red="255" blue="255" />

<colour name="good attribute" blue="0" green="255" red="255" />

<colour name="excellent attribute" red="255" yellow="255" blue="0" />

Personally I find mine easier to distinguish between:

<colour name="low attribute" red="255" green="0" blue="0" />

<colour name="normal attribute" red="255" green="160" blue="0" />

<colour name="good attribute" red="102" green="204" blue="255" />

<colour name="excellent attribute" red="0" green="255" blue="0" />

Michael Essien profile screenshot with my attributes

James Lindley profile screenshot with my attributes

However, does anyone know where to paste this:

<!-- attribute colouring -->

<integer id="exca" value="15" />

<!-- excellent threshold -->

<integer id="excn" value="11" />

<!-- normal threshold -->

<integer id="excl" value="6" />

<!-- low threshold -->

as I want to make 15 included as an 'excellent' attribute but you don't put this in the player profile.xml file anymore in this version.

EDIT: I've found how to change the attribute colouring ranges now. It's in player attributes panel.xml not player profile.xml - just thought I'd update this in case anyone else was wondering.

Don't wish to be rude but as i said in my opening post i made the changes to the default skin to enhance my own enjoyment of the game and thought i'd share the skin on here. I won't be doing any requests, sorry :)

Good skin Dave - much appreciated.

On a separate note, where did you get your European logos from, they look very smart..

Just noticed your comp logos look the right size, mine seem to appear miniscule :( how did you fix that? Cheers.

<record from="109203" to="graphics/pictures/comp/109203/logo"/>

<record from="11" to="graphics/pictures/comp/11/logo"/>

<record from="1301428" to="graphics/pictures/comp/1301428/logo"/>

so I'm not sure why people are having issues

Interesting, and they appear normal sized only with that code?

I installed the Metallic Logopack and will have to look at its code when I get back home, but my logos definitely appear small

Yes, they will appear small on the default skin. The badges are smaller on the right as the tabs sometimes stretch all the way across the screen and obscure the badges My skin has been modified to make them bigger.

To change this find the titlebar.xml file within the 'fm2010/panels/' folder. Open it and find where it says:

!-- right sided main logo -->

<container id="RsLg">

<layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="vertical" inset="0" />

<layout class="centre_in_parent_attachment" alignment="horizontal" offset="-10" layout_children="true"/>

<!-- Primary Logo -->

<widget class="picture" id="rftF" scale_picture="true" keep_aspect_ratio="true" height="44" width="100" image_alignment="centre">

...and change it to:

<!-- right sided main logo -->

<container id="RsLg">

<layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="vertical" inset="0" />

<layout class="centre_in_parent_attachment" alignment="horizontal" offset="-10" layout_children="true"/>

<!-- Primary Logo -->

<widget class="picture" id="rftF" scale_picture="true" keep_aspect_ratio="true" height="75" width="75" image_alignment="centre">

<layout class="centre_in_parent_attachment" alignment="vertical" offset="-2"/>

<attachment class="get_global_attachment" get_property="scpc" set_property="file" skip_if_null="false"/>

Dave,

I don't seem to have a "panels" folder, or a "titlebar.xml" file. I have not yet installed any skins (I am using the default dark one), so I assume that in order to follow your instructions, I need to have installed some custom skin? Alternatively, can I just create a "panels" folder, and then create the "titlebar.xml" file inside, containing only the text above?

I'm a fan of the default dark skin, but would still like to see bigger logos.

Well you can install a custom skin (the one in the OP) or you'll need to unpack the skins.fmf file using the FM09 resource archiver.

36118363.png QUOTE]

How on the player profile do you change it so it looks like the above picture with the writing down the side. I also want to have the club badge behind a player picture and get rid of the chart?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
