Glad to see that this challenge has started in a flourish yet again icon14.gif.

Hopefully this forum doesn't die a slow death over the next few months, but I guess only time will tell. With a strong backbone (couple of big challenges & sign-ups) this forum should do well this year.

Here you all go updated logos for FM2008 - Include logos for all the English League Sides from the Premiership down to the Challenge sides, bear in mind the quality of the logos for the challenge teams varies drasticaly, I've done the best I can with what I could find (was getting bad when google was linking back to the forums record thread and last years challenge screenshots)

Standard English Club Logos and some Standard English Competition Logos - please don't post these links outside of this thread yet, as you may have noticed I haven't finished redoing my site yet, but have decided to give you lot access to them first. (Rotated Logos are also available, but I haven't finished tweaking the default skin to display them correctly yet).

Ok, I am impatiently waiting for my copy to arrive (ex-pat living in the US here) and reading through this thread seeing how you all fare, before I get to through my hat in the ring.

Last year I was manager of King's Lynn, and was all set to do the same again, but it looks as though my manhood will come into question due to KL's reputation rise icon_wink.gif

So, looking for different teams to manage. I want a low reputation team, with good colors (stupid stipulation I know, but bland black/white, red/white and blue/white teams bore me in the end, and I hate the blue/red combo too).

I am not opposed to reloading many many times in order to get a team (heh, took forever to get KL last year).

Could anyone search in there ongoing game for the following teams, and maybe post a screenshot of their team info page showing home and away kits?

Heybridge Swifts

Tonbridge Angels

Buxton

Lincoln United

Hemel Hempstead Town

North Ferriby United

I think that this forum is keeping GQ afloat at the moment.

It brings such a variety of posters back in terms of sign-ups and challenges and brings them back again and again and again.

One last point, how do I register on the Website. The website seems to take me to last years, unless I'm being extremely silly and doing something wrong icon_confused.gif

You need to finish your old game in the options and then enter your fm08 game details icon14.gif

When this forum disbanded, if you like, from GQ, GQ dried up, and a few of the main posters in there, yourself, dafuge, and I, to name just a few moved over to here. I rarely use GQ anymore as I feel it has become a rarely-moderated mess.

As of late, though, GQ seems to be attracting more posters, and moderating seems to be more frequent. I realise that is the usual "Release day" crowd, and many people will post once and never return, so it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.

Buxton have an all blue home kit, and I think are playing in red away this season (although I never go to away games tbh).

Also, I don't think a single person has created a save where any of those teams promotes, so you may have to raise your sights a little.

Although if anyone does get Buxton coming up, can you upload the save? That might tempt me away from my San Marino game...

Have you tried using default tactics? Worked for me icon14.gif (Still working fairly well in blue square prem too!)

thanks, another mag! woo. yeah mint game, milner's finish was amazing, on that performance i would say spurs could be relegation candidates if theyre not careful.

does anyone know of or have made a guide to making facepacks? i used to do them on fm 2007 but ive completely forgotten and no doubt the methods will have changed/

This is starting to really wind me up now, I simply can't get Hornchurch out of the conference south. I'm currently sitting 13th in January in my 4th season, looks like another year without even a sniff of reaching the playoffs icon_frown.gif

My contract is up for renewal at the end of the year so I'm just hoping I do well enough and stay mid-table to ensure that gets renewed. I'm determined to get out of this stupid league - even if it takes until 2050!

Does anyone know how the club reputations change in FM08 game yet? I seem to have better and better players interested in signing for the club every season, even though I have been constantly performing worse each season (finished last season 16th).

Nooooooooo Baidoo injured and needing specialist treatment. He won't play for Hitchin again this season.

My other striker is out with flu, so I'm struggling now.

If I could get my board to stretch the wage budget I could buy the ideal replacement for nothing.

So I'll have to try to resort to getting in loan strikers without paying their wages icon_frown.gif
