seagull84
Ok, any help is greatly appreciated. I just went to pre-order FM2010 via Steam and was told that it's not available in my region. I'm in South Korea, is this accurate? If so, where can I order/ pre-order a copy of FM2010 so that I can get it the day of release. Preferably digital download. Please help, I assumed I could use Steam again, but this has thrown a real spanner in the works
mlawrence00
Sign up to a VPN service for the UK for 1 month. Should cost like 7-10USD, then, use that to tell steam you are in the UK.
Blacksquare
try making a steam account as if you are in the UK or somewhere else but pay with your credit card and such.
mlawrence00
I think the steam service uses geo ip recognising, so even if you tell it you are in the UK, it will recognise your ip as South Korean.
seagull84
Has anyone used this VPN thing? Does it work? Is there a reason why it's not possible to download fm with Steam? Is it because there is an alternative deal with Sega? I can use Steam for other games out here.
mlawrence00
No idea why it is specifically FM. It would be worth emailling steam directly to find out.

AustSaint
I have downloaded games in south Korea with gamersgate with no problems, I would say that is your best option. I have pre-ordered the game and will get it sent to Korea myself.

Blanchflower1
do you know why we can't use Steam in Korea? I think it could be due to licensing issues.
seagull84
so for clarification, I definitely canot buy FM2010 from Steam in South Korea?? I will need to user gamersgate.com and this will provide the same service as Steam? Sorry to be a pain, but I really don't want to wait any longer than neccesary to play the new game, and would like to sleep at night in the knowledge that come release day I can enjoy fm2010!!
