longdon
When do you hard tackle players/teams?
gmb01512
I use it if theres one player in particular i know gets wound up easily. I used it on Wayne Rooney and he got sent off for retaliation and used it on Craig Bellamy and he got injured after 15 mins (Whoops lol)

Quacky
I don't use hard tackling unless I really hate the guy
bandi15
I read on these forums somewhere that it's useful against players with low bravery.
Stomalomalus
I used to use it on players with bravery under 12, but then in kimz tactic, it said to use it on anyone under 15, but it doesnt seem to have any benefit at that level. And I also use it on players with a yellow, and they sometimes get a second
Klimowicz
i use it on every individual player in the opposition instructions. yet, i rarely give away penalties or get red cards.
lacoste8030
I tell my whole team to use hard tackling all the time.

phnompenhandy
When my player has excellent tackling AND decisions attributes, and in OIs against players with low bravery (av 10 or less, depending on their position), also possibly when a player is on a yellow and appears to have had the red mist come down
Macyst
When the opposition team use hard tackle on my team (Team hard tackle) On striker who has good dribbling and has less than 90% condition at the start of the match.
Nomis07
I never use it and try this for a stat, Bocunji Ca got a red card for me against Sprting lisbon last night. My first red card in 9 seasons and 3 clubs
wandarah
i usually turn it on. 1 red card in three seasons, and i manage to injure a good portion of the oppositions starting 11. always good.
backpackant
1. When I'm chasing the game and go all out attack. I also "always" close down and tackle hard. 2. When a playmaker is running the game for the other side or breezing past my midfield. I'll set opposition instructions to always close him down tackle him hard ... unless he's incredible fast. x42bn6
Good for low bravery players unless they have a good set-piece taker which means it can backfire (had that once, someone hard-tackling Danny Welbeck and scored 2 free-kicks, what fools). I don't know if it helps, but I do see an improvement for corners if you hard tackle goalkeepers with almost no card penalty. Hard tackling playmakers even with high bravery is always worth it, too. And best of all, hard tackle injury-prone players.
Dar2000
Usually against the big four in England, particularly Arsenal who can destroy you if they hit top form. A few early crunching tackles may upset their rythem....hopefully

RufftyMan
i only ever use hard tackling against injured players, used to use it gainst opp players who's bravery was 10 or below
waz_nufc_awk
I tend to use hard takcling against players with a high aggression (over 15)/low composure (under 10) combination, this gets them wound up and can result in retaliatory yellows and even red's. Mixed tackling is handy for creative midfielders/forwards with low bravery/low aggression this tends to make them think about going in for a 50/50 ball and can see them either A) not try to hard to get the ball or b) over commit in error and get injured. wazz
Cometdude
I use hard tackling all the time when playing against teams with a world supertsar in the line up. Last season I put Ronaldo out for 3 months and Lampard out for 2, missing the champions league final. But I wouldn't recommend implementing it using a player that doesnt have exceptional tackling stats.
