Shottaz
It's your tactics *Edit* I'm not sure mate, pretty useless now but in future, make another save before going on your holidays

potemkin125
Go to 'Load game' and see if it saved with a version number. Your original save may still be in there
wackettdagenham
unless you have a backup, I'm afraid you've had it.

GillsMan
Yeah I did this once, I was pretty annoyed. Certainly not SI's fault though - but I can understand why you made that mistake. Still, we learn from our mistakes, eh?
Dan-Toon-Army
As potemkin125 said, usually when the game auto-saves itself it doesnt save it as the orignal name , it usually adds something like (1) to the end from memory , soo maybe your save is still there......or maybe not. sparey
it should save via dates. I do it now and then, holiday over night, then if things are going bad, go back 3 months or whatever i set the save. It should be like, say your in it holidays till 2020, the save will be called 2020.02.15 (so 15th Feb 2020) Hope you get your save back!
backpackant
Doesn't help now, but whenever I go on long-term hols on a game I'm enjoying, I "save as" a new game with the title "Holiday" in it. If it destroys my game I can go back to the old one.
Administrators Neil Brock Posted July 10, 2009 Administrators Share Posted July 10, 2009 That's why it's always best to put it onto 'incremental auto saves' so it saves a new file every time it saves. Although saying that, if you're doing that whilst holidaying make sure you have enough hard drive space for numerous saves. Then you can always go back and delete the saves you don't need.
