Ethan13
After reading through roversawh7’s English Regen Analysis and seeing that he wouldn’t be able to continue it past 100 years I thought I would start one similar so people could see the comparisons. With his permission I am going to do a similar thing but track Liverpool’s Regens so we can see the comparison between Liverpool (A Big 4 Club) and Blackburn (A Non Big 4 Club). I will also be tracking high PA Regens and Stadiums, Finances and Transfers. Also if anyone has something else they want me to track please say so and I will consider it. Liverpool: I will be following Liverpool's regens as they come through the academy. I chose to do Liverpool as they are my favourite team and also so we can see the comparison between A Big 4 club and a Non big 4 Club. Liverpool obviously didn’t get any Regens at the start of the game. I will also be following their stats and their Managers and any other important news. roversawh7
Great start so far. One thing that would be nice would be to show two years of average attendance in the stadiums section so that we can see the changes over one season, especially in comparison to the success or failures of the clubs during that time. Good idea to include the Liverpool transfers as it will provide a much clearer understanding of how the manager is operating. When they start signing regens, it might be useful to provide CAs and PAs to see how good they are at judging ability as well as whether they are buying for the future. For the leading transfers in the General Info section (great name...) will you be showing that screenshot every year or perhaps showing the screenies of transfers in July, August, and January. Also remember to keep the code boxes as narrow as possible for readability.
Ethan13
I am not sure whether to include screenshots on transfers each season or not. Also for the code boxes how do you keep them narrow? In the future I would be having last season stats in brackets for Liverpool and also last seasons average attendance for all teams in the top 20 in brackets. Delvor
I thought the transfers you did was good, it was particularly amusing to see the amount of transfers concerning Man City.
roversawh7
To keep the code boxes as narrow as possible, just make sure that you are not adding characters that are making the boxes wider than necessary. For example, the 2008 high PA has a lot of extra underscores. Other than that, you can try to cut and space that does not need to be there.

~Ian~
Are you sure the stadium capacities haven't changed? Several of the sides have a higher average attendance than is theoretically possible then.
Ethan13
Yeah I have checked that. I am not sure why Genie Scout is showing they have a higher Average attendance then their stadium capacity. I am going to look into that more.
roversawh7
Average attendance is not the actual average attendance of the club over the year, but a figure that represents the attendance at an average game given no constraints. When this number starts to increase above the stadium capacity the club might look at expansion or building a new stadium. Is Chelsea about to expand their stadium? Let me guess, Sunderland got relegated this past season? The transfer pictures provide a lot of interesting information and show some of the problems with the transfer system. Kuzmanovic is sold at half the previous purchase price after half a year. Also quite a few weird co-ownership deals.

roversawh7
Rafa is doing quite well in just hanging onto his job. I wonder what he would have to do to lose it. Funny that he bought Djalo as I bought him for Liverpool from Rafa's Valencia in FM07. Also funny to see Madrid pay big bucks to bring Soldado back from Getafe. Do you have some screenshots of the players that started with the high CAs? Some of those are pretty incredible for 16 year olds.
Ethan13
2013 Liverpool: Liverpool have a poor season by their standards which sees them finish in 8th. Their best cup result was a FA Cup Semi final loss to Arsenal. Alexandr Anyukov comes to Liverpool from Middlesborough for 10.25M which is their largest transfer in for the season. Not a single dollar is made from transfers out. Premier League: 8th FA Cup: Semi Final (Lost 1-0, Arsenal) Euro Cup: First Knockout Round (Lost 2-1 on aggregate, Lazio) League Cup: Third Round (Lost 2-1, Reading) Reputation once again drops. The finances take a massive blow dropping by 60M. No surprise that the transfer budget drops but the wage budget goes up. The Training and Youth facilities are now 20. Ethan13
First of all I hope people are enjoying the experiment. The updates are taking a long time to write so I am asking would people rather me keep doing them at the pace I am doing them or try and get them up quicker but not include as much stuff. If so what stuff do people think could be removed? Thanks.
hamilton162
Just keep doing them at this pace Ethan I am astounded as to how roversraw7 can update so quickly and in so much detail What capacity will Zola Park be? KUTGW
Ethan13
The new Zola Staidum will have a capacity of 57,181 and they are due to move into it on the 26th of June 2014.

roversawh7
Definitely keep going at this pace as the detail level is superb although you will start to feel my pain after 20 years. I now know what I am doing with my updates so I can crank them out pretty quickly. Is Zola still managing in England? It would be kind of weird for his to manage against Chelsea in the new stadium. Also, you seem to have put up the wrong transfers in the previous update before this one. Do you still have those sitting around somewhere?
Ethan13
I am still trying to work out a few things because originally I did a few years in advance but then I added a couple things to the updates so a few things are missing. I am sorting out the transfers screenshots now. Hopefully now that the updates should stay very similar for the rest of the time I will be able to do them quicker. I am thinking of doing a update every 10 years (besides the normal updates) that covers a 10 year summary. Would people be interested in that? Edit: The transfers are all right now I think. I can't seem to find Zola in the game world, I will have another look later but when I checked then and tried to click on his name it wouldn't let me. hamilton162
A 10 season summary would be a brilliant idea IMO Ethan That's as long as it isn't too time consuming for you to do mate
Ethan13
2015 Liverpool: Liverpool bounce back this year as new manager Thomas Schaaf leads them to a 3rd place finish and qualifies them for the Champions League next season. Disappointment in the cups though as they drop out in the third round of both the League and FA Cup. Only one transfer made it that costs anything and that was Chris Kirkland from Tottenham for 1.5M. Premier League: 3rd FA Cup: Third Round (Lost 2-0, Tottenham) League Cup: Third Round (Lost 2-1, Reading) The clubs reputation rises this year as does the finances. Schaaf will have more for transfers next season although a slightly smaller wage budget. The average attendance rises by nearly 5,000. roversawh7
Getting rid of Rafa was a good idea... Tom Waters looks like he could be the first regen to get an England cap in a couple of years once he returns to the Premier League. I am sure Arbeloa would be thrilled to hear that he will be playing for Bristol City in 2014!
Ethan13
After doing all the writing for the next update the last thing I had to do was the regens. I went onto Genie Scout and for some reason I couldn't find any Liverpool Regens. I checked in the game and they didn't have any new regens. Does this ever happen? or is this a bug? If it's a bug I will see if I have a backup from the season before, if not I am not sure what I will do. Any help would be great please.
roversawh7
That's a weird one. Did any of the other teams get regens? Are you on the 24th or 25th?
Ethan13
I am on the 25th. Yes there is still over 900 new regens in England this year.
Ethan13
I have found the Liverpool Regens. For some reason they did not start with 100% condition as did a few other new regens. This season's report will have no nationalities as I can't seem to get all the new regens together as some have 100% condition and some don't. roversawh7
Maybe that was the problem... On leap years you should holiday to the 24th because that is when the season turns over.
Ethan13
Thanks I didn't realize that. Not sure when the next update will be. Hopefully around the middle of this week.

roversawh7
Dave Jones and then Steve Coppell. That is not good for you guys. At least James Miller could turn into something. The transfers are always interesting to look like. So many players are brought back to a club after leaving like Welbeck. Sad to see Liverpool let Yannick Djalo go as he did a great job for me there as a backup to Craig Bellamy way back in FM07. It does not look like Jack Ingram will have the mental stats to get him to his potential.
