  • Translation from "football" to "soccer" in the American version can be misused

    While "football" in the UK refers to the sport as a whole as well as the ball, in United States English, soccer is the sport, but "soccer ball" or "ball" refers to the ball.

    Specifically this refers to the text option that pops up when a former player or coach alerts you to an opponents dangerous players. I infer that in the UK version the text reads as "________ can really kick a football" as a generic way to say the player is good, but in the US version it reads "________ can really kick a soccer".

    This doesn't really make sense for American English speakers

    Can't find this anywhere in the text. Any chance of a screenshot? 

    We're very careful when "translating" to US English that we don't do silly stuff like that but this one must have slipped through.
