  • Signed player on free transfer in off-season; told he'll join up in 7 months?!

    Hey all,

     

    I'm playing as Landvetter in the 4th division of Sweden. Just got promoted. But every single player I go to sign on a free (I have no money) won't show up until July 20. My season starts in April.

    If this continues, given the players I want to keep, I'll have roughly a squad of 4 players.

    I didn't check Disable the First Transfer Window. That was the only thing I could think of. 

    On the save I uploaded, I have a few players in the process of transfers. Hope that helps.

    Am I missing something?

    Was this player under contract with another club by chance? Players within 6 months of their contract expiring can be signed by clubs on a free transfer, but cant join until their current contract expires. Was he a free agent, or just available on a free transfer?
