Why do assignments like this not return a single player?

Not even to mention, when I attempted to restart the assignment, the game didnt let me so I did it from scratch and it ended within a day.

Hello, the restart issue is something we are aware of and will look to fix.

In terms of your assignment, the PA of 4 stars is pretty high. I would not expect many players to be found. Setting the assignment over longer period of time might increase chances of picking up a 4 star player but as a guide that's probably too high. Hope this was helpful, thank you.

unless Im blind, there doesn't seem to be an option for length of an assignment. If you mean select ongoing that reduces the amount of players I get recommended according to the game.

The 'Ongoing' priority should cover this. It doesn't impact the amount of players recommended, but means the focus will take longer and continue to run, meaning players your scouts didn't find right away may be found a second or third time around.
