Playing in the Club World Cup with Spurs at the end of the first season and I have Anthony Martial on loan, and due to go permanent at the end of his loan contract (30th June). Despite being registered for the CWC squad, he's unavailable as his loan is due to end soon, meaning I now only have a 22-man squad instead of 23. Not great for a tournament with such a rammed schedule!
a) It's 20th June so he has 10 more days at the club, enough time to finish the group stage and at least one of the next rounds so why can't I play him?
b) He'll be joining the club permanently on 30th June so why does it even matter that his loan is due to expire?
c) If it's the tournament rules preventing him from playing and not a bug, why was this not made clear when registering him for the tournament? If I'd known ahead of time he wouldn't be able to play I could have picked someone else.
