  • Purchased the game but unable to load - Macbook/Steam

    Hi All - I purchased the game on steam this afternoon but have not been able to load. After clicking play in steam, the game appears in the dock and I get a grey screen. Nothing changes for about 5 minutes, then the game closes by itself. No error messages or bug reports pop up. I've attached the Dxdiag file. 

    I'm using a macbook (specs attached).

    Hi, 

    Couple of things to try. 

    • Try launching Football Manager 2022 in Low Resolution Mode
      • You can do this by right clicking fm.app in your applications -> Get Info, and in the window that pops up should be a checkbox for low resolution mode. 

    If there is not, or that does not work for you, you can try the following: 

     

    • Try a complete reinstall of the game and steam.

    Once both are uninstalled, please restart your computer and reinstall Steam and Football Manager 2022.

    Hi Lucas - I tried both steps you recommended:

    1. Launching in low resolution - same result (grey screen then closes)

    2. Uninstall and reinstall - same result (grey screen then closes)

    Can you ensure that Big Sur is fully up to date by going to the Apple Icon on the menu bar -> Check for Updates, and then try again.

    I have the same error, when I press "Play" from Steam, the game simply does not start, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and the same thing happens, I don't know what to do

    And, no change on starting up the game? Have you tried a reinstall?
