  • Default Database - Changed?

    Hi,

    I recall when first purchasing FM2022 the default database included Nuno and his Staff (Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias) at Tottenham...

    Now, when creating a new game using the "Football Manager 2022" Database (22.1.0), I note Conte and HIS Staff are employed with Tottenham? This is the earliest database available to me, yet it's not the same as when the game was originally released.

    Could someone advise please? Is it possible to go back to this "original" Database at all?

    I've just tested this, and when using the FM22 (22.1.0) database as you suggested, it has Nuno as the manager.

    Do you have any custom files involved at all? As this is working as intended. :)

    I've since attempted to verify game files - no change (still shows Conte).

    I've also uninstalled/re-installed - no change (still shows Conte).

    Are you able to replicate the issue by installing a fresh copy of the game to see if the default DB shows Nuno or Conte?

    I recalled I had FM22 installed on another machine, so decided to check the Default DB on this machine. This install was updated early April 2022, with the original install likely before that.

    This is as expected.

    As a test, I uninstalled the currently installed version on the on the other machine, and re-installed fresh from Steam. The result below speaks for itself.

    New installs of FM2022 from Steam does NOT have the correct/original Default Database.

    Can this please be resolved?

    Really sorry you haven't had a response to this - afraid every time you 'bumped' the issue, it fell further down the priority list (we work from oldest post to newest). 

    Would you be able to provide a save file created on the latest database that shows the incorrect changes, please? I'll pass it over to our testing team.

    Ok, I have uploaded the file. "Default DB - No Nuno.fm"

    Just for clarification. The issue is Nuno and his staff are NOT in charge of Tottenham on the Default Database (Conte and Stellini are).

    This wasn't always the case and only seems to affect NEW Installs/Downloads from Steam.

    I'd like to get back the original Default DB, if possible.
