In my save, I've appointed George Syrianos as Director of Football at Boreham Wood, and as such, he should be the one to give me player suggestions when I go to 'Director of Football Request Targets' in Transfers.
He was appointed after I took over in October, and there wasn't a DoF in place before that point.
However, this is still given to the Chairperson, Danny Hunter, despite every available option for Scout Reports, Transfers and Scouting being selected as the DoF.
The only things in Danny Hunters name are the Board options, which are unchangeable for obvious reasons.
