I had two players who had been promised that Iraklis, the club i am manging would be promoted, as part of their contract renewal. However despite getting promoted, a couple of months into the next season, both players demanded to leave as they said that this promise had not been fulfilled.
When the promise was made, the club was in the Greek Second Division North. However the next season the North and South divisons merged and the league was renamed to simply 'Greek Second Division'. I suspect therefore the division name change caused the promise to be unfulfilled, as the club was promoted from the Greek Second Division, not the Greek Second Division North which would be a bug if true.
