Game crashes, mainly during loading time between days. Causes laptop to restart.

MacBook Air, purchase around Nov 2020. Intel Chip.

There doesn't seem to be an exact situation where this happens, it's normally about playing for 30-45 minutes.

    Hi,

If the laptop is restarting by itself, it sounds very much like a thermal shutdown. Is the laptop particularly hot when this occurs?

not that i've notice but i'll check if it happens again.

The laptop doesn't really 'restart'. The screen freezes, then goes black and then logs me out. I then have to put in my password, the fingerprint scan is locked until i ut in the passowrd.

Any programs I had opened have to be restarted.

I also have the same issue, but on a 2020 MacBook Pro 13", latest Mac OS.

Laptop does get warm, however it is nothing unusual and the shutdown doesn't occur for any other application I have used.

It just happened again after I updated from Beta to the full game. The laptop was cool, maybe slightly warm close to the joint where the screen meets the keyboard but it's been much warmer than that and I've never had a problem.

As someone mentioned above, this issue only happens when I'm playing FM22. Can you let me know what the fix is for this issue?

I am having the exact same problem on a 2020 MacBook Pro on the latest OS.

It ran FM21 with no issues (before I installed the Monterey OS anyway) but any time during my first pre-season friendly on FM22 it will just shut down and I have to login to my laptop again. So so frustrating as I have never had an issue before! Interested to see if it can get ironed out.

Exact same issues as above on 2020 MacBook Pro i5 intel with latest Monterey OS.

    Any fixes for this?

Really want to play the game but it crashes after a few mins every time

I have the same issue, ever since installing macOS Monterey which leads me to believe it’s an iOS issue rather than the game. Is there any fix for this issue yet as it’s really annoying.

Our QA team are taking a look at this and I will get back to you if we need any more information.

Are any of you using developer preview builds of macOS12?

I have the same issue with my MacBook Air 2020. I played two weeks in the game and after that the game freezes the game closed and my laptop logged me out

I had a couple of days without it crashing but it just happened again. I'm using the standard OS on a standard MacBook Air.

Can you update on the fix for this?

Same again this morning, get into the second half of a match and it happens.

My macOS is Monterey 12.0.1, doesn’t say anything about it being a developer preview.

Please answer with the following, if you haven't already:

The name of your Mac and model

    Your OS Build number

Both can be found in "About this Mac", from the Apple Menu.

    Many thanks

Does anyone know if this happens on any other game since the Monterey update or is it just fm?

Don’t play any other games besides FM but I’ve done video calls, photo editing etc with no issues. Only FM has caused it.

Like BorelliBB above I’ve just given up trying to play now, bit gutted. Hope it’s sorted soon.

I have the same issue with my FM2022. It stop working, the screen becomes black and then my laptop logs me out. It happened at least 10 times in 3 days.
I’m using macOS Monterey 12.0.1 on my MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)

    1,2 GHz intel Core i7 quad-core

    8 GB 3733 MHz

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB.

It happens only when I play FM2022.
    Hope you’ll find a solution.
