Benjaminoo - thats great work! I look forward to the season report

Well it was all a bit of an anti-climax really. We drew 0-0 at Ancona and because Carpenadolo drew too, they finished above us on the results against two sides rule. Bit sad but we can be proud of our first season in C1/A. Report to come later this evening.
Yeh we lost and i got booted out of the cup.

we were 1 nil up or most of the match and lost 3-1

Ben: Top work on promotion mate great one. looks like im the only one still in the bottom divison

Iacovone: unlucky mate but as they say "You cant win anything with kids" hopefully your come back stronger next year and win promotion. looking forward to you Report

Racing 92 - Season 2013/2014 - French National

Got promoted this year, finishing 2nd.

Well, what a season, and we've finally gone up!

Was some fantastic performances throughout the season, especially by players like:
Thibault Moulin and
Nicolas Jacquet

Moulin also won signing of the season in the French National and also fans POTY.

Not to mention our goalscorers,

Helton Dos Reis and
Miroslav Slavov

They weren't that prolific, which shows you don't need a good goalscorer to be successful.

I came third in Manager of the Season
Helton Dos Reis came second in Star of the Season
Miroslav Slavov came third in Most Promising Player

Best Elevens

Season Best Eleven
Overall Best Eleven
Best Eleven: Where are they now?

And lastly,
Racing 92 turn Pro

Aims for the season ahead.

-Stay Up
-Buy some quality players
-Establish ourselves as a Ligue 2 side.

iacovone's Savona Youth End of Season Report 2012/13:

Well its tough to summarize the season really. We were expected to go straight back down and in almost an act of defiance against the press I almost entirely chose not to add to the squad. The summer saw only 4 players come in, one of which was a 16 year old prospect. So with the young Savonista expected to go back down and with us ultimately finishing 6th you'd think we'd all be celebrating and the champagne would be on ice. However with the way the first half of the season panned out I'm actually very disappointed that we didn't at least make the playoffs

But oh well, it gives us hope for next year. So who were the key men for this impressive first year in C1/A for Savona?

Key Men:

Gianluca Stefanini
Pasquale Rossi
Daniele Magliocchetti
Luca Lubrani
Alessandro Lanzoni
Ferdinando Guariniello
Ivan Caldarelli
Marco Erba

Other Stuff:
Stats
League Table
Graph
Best XI
Best Ever XI
Where Are They Now? - V.Cool feature if anyones seen it yet? Obviously with just a couple of seasons done it isn't interesting reading just yet!
Fns POY

We have seen a couple of youngsters join the club on a free, 2 that I'm pretty excited about:
Claudio Gambini
Roberto Sibilia

So overall a satisfying season. With a goalscoring forward we will go up next season in my opinion. I'm on the hunt and have just secured the signing of a Bulgarian U21 striker who could do well. Our top goalscorer only bagged 6 all season so big improvements required there!

Again the plan is to stick with the youth policy. Preferably Italian youth.
I'd also like to expand my tactical horizons and have at least 2 separate tactics to rotate - 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 being the obvious choices. Maybe a 4-3-3? Who knows.

Anyway onto Season number 5

Pinto looks good, as does Pereira, I'd be interested to see how he gets on in particular as I have forwards with similar stats. Where are you gonna play Pinto?

Well, Pinto's best position is ML, but I have Moulin there and It'd be disappointing to see him out of the team, so I might play him up front, not really sure yet.

Ferdinando Guariniello Sad about his dinosauro pace but his other stats look great a good player
Ivan Caldarelli calderani looks like a great winger he has pace and is a good crosser of the ball.

this should all change though now (i hope!!)

Good good

Well pre season at Savona has been productive. I've kept an eye on the U20 World Cup and found a French left back sitting on a free transfer who could be coming in as well as an Argentianian CB playing at Monza who's also on a free. He's actually just signed and is a real talent - potential to be a decent Serie A CB!!

Off field - last years Fans POY Luca Lubrani has become the first of the clubs favoured personnel \o/. So that secures his spot in the side for a few years

Training and Youth facilities are to be upgraded again. They are currently good and adequate.

I could be about to sign my first ever non-EU player for Savona. He is a Brazilian CM currently playing in Portugal for Estoril and his name is Odir!! Great name, great player. Plus he is only 20, cementing his status as one of the Savona youth

EDIT: I also just received a 925k bid for Magliocchetti. Normally I'd bite their hand off but I have enough money in the bank (13m) and he is my most experienced player at 27 years old. I think I'm gonna keep him. He's also my first choice LB. If the bid goes bigger than 1m though I may have to reconsider!

the argentine CB sounds very promising. i've also just signed an 18 year old Colombian CB for £500k who's potential is to be a good La Liga player. He's immediately the best CB i have at such a tender age. Was a player i HAD to sign....

I reckon the Colombian heard about the improvements to your RAM and felt he had to join Oviedo to see where they were going! Screenshot? Him and my Argie could be very similar. I'm gonna do screenshots of my summer signings soon.

Summer Additions:

Odir
Ivan Makhendzhiev
Franco Gareca

So whilst the Savona Youth continues, we now have a more cosmopolitan feel in our ranks. The scouting is beginning to pay dividends.

We have also just been drawn away to giants Parma in the Italian 2nd Qual Round away. They have dropped into Serie B though. Cupset anyone??

No Cupset this year

2-1 defeat to a side that in all honesty were far too good for us. A brave effort and I suppose a good sign given they were Serie A last year!

that's the problem i was having.... i had wondered whether it might be good to have a save game available for all leasgues where promotion to bottom level is random... obviously couldn't with France due to CFA, but could with the others.... could go in opening post.

As for nickname, rubbish i know but there's "Maks"????????????

Holidaying on my computer is slower than some of iacovone's players

Your right Maks is a carp nickname but as i can't think of any it is the best so far.

As for getting save games put into the opening post. We could get Jose to edit the post asking newcomers to upload save games to put in there.

I could do italy.

So there seems to be some trouble with Imageshack.us, so I am going to post an update I was planning, but screenshots will have to be added later

Portugal
--------
- Adjusted prize money for the Portugese Cup.
- Teams start the second stage of the Portugese Second Division on half the points they managed in the first stage.

Ok All I have to say is god that would've helped me soo much in the promotion legs...dammit, and maybe now I might get some more prize money and not be so broke :P

Well the cup run continues, 5th round beating Vit. Setubal 5-4 on penalties after the game went crazy from us leading 1-0, to them leading 2-1, to a final 2-2 draw...Carrasso saving the shot that put us through

They are also another Liga Sagres team I have defeated.

nocerina have just won there first pre season freindly 4-0 with versatile left back Ciano hammering home two viscous volleys they were pretty much identical.

ive also signed a promising 17 year old Gk and a 16 year old Amc along with some expeireinced heads.

Also the player once stated the greatest left back in portugal Kipulo has signed a two year deal with Nocerina

Just completed dafuge's challenge (had to throw that in there, got to impress the people over the interweb) and thought I'd give this challenge a go. I decided, although am not completely happy with my choice, to manage Reus Deportiu of the Spanish Second Division B3. I'm not sure why I'm unhappy with the choice, I think it's the team name, Reus, doesn't quite roll off the tongue, but they have a youth academy which is what I wanted and I liked the team colours (yes I am incredibly anal) so what the hell... here's the new manager of Reus Deportiu:
Manager Profile
There aren't many players worth mentioning on this team but Victor Ortiz does stand out amongst the crowd.

Up next in my Cup run is Sporting CP, so I finally get to face one of the top 2 clubs in Portugal, could be an interesting one. Since I started my game, no one other than Sporting or Porto have won the Portuguese Cup.

Welcome Gareth, good to have another face here. Although I'm not 100% sure, but I think in Jose's opening post it says no West Ham fans allowed...

Look forward to seeing how Reus get on

Haha, that is a rule I should probably apply to myself, it would certainly save me a lot of heartache

Just to add to this I was looking through my youth team and found this guy. My assistant doesn't seem to think he has much potential unfortunately, but then again my assistants Judging Player Potential attribute is only a 4, so what does he know. I've reworked my formation to include an AMC just to fit him in as he's pretty much my best player already. I knew scouring around to find a team with a youth academy would be worthwhile .

Welcome Gareth - good so see someone of your 'calibre' giving this a go, and another player in Spain

Iacovone - that doesn't sound good!! it's the old second season blip!!

Des - good luck against Sporting. Interesting to see they're doing better than Benfica.

As for Oviedo, the game speed seems to be back as it was with Como, so i should progress a lot quicker now \o/

And on the Savona front, I think I overreacted. We won't be in trouble but it doesn't look like we're gonna go up either. Verona are top by a mile already, although we did inflict their only defeat

Can anyone tell me if there are any cups for lower league Spanish teams? It's just that I don't seem to be entered for any.

Thanks

Also, just sold my then club captain for £100k. I never like to sell my best players but the money was irrefuseable.

Real Oviedo - Liga Adelante - Season 2010/11

"Meet the Boys"

So, without further ado, i bring you our latest signings:

Transfers

Angel
Marcos
Tobias
Palacios
Scoppa
Escribano
Jaime
Zequinha
Canales
Gorrotxategi

so they they are. i'd have to say that the star out of these is Palacios, my aforementioned Colombian CB. All of them are great signings for the club and help push us on in preparation for the Liga Adelante. i have also brought Zuniga and Trecarichi back on season loans.

i think it MIGHT be a bug. i didn't play in the Spanish cup first season. i am now in it in Liga Adelante (won 3-1 ) and looking at draw plenty of non-league and Second division teams in it..... confusing.

have you the latest patch?

Iacovone - Great work to turn the season around, as a sign of how close my League is I dropped from 3rd to 7th with just one loss, now attempting to fight the way back towards the top group, but I must say Liga Vitalis is very tight.

Richard - Those players look spectacular, though most are too old for my teams, unless they started in my team a few years ago no one is over 28. Though I have about 5 players currently over that wo have been with me since the beginning.

This looks like it could be fun. I'm taking part in dafuge's challenge, but it doesn't hurt to have more than one save

I've already started holidaying, gonna choose Spain. Hopefully this goes well, as I hardly ever manage outside of England.

Welcome aboard Nailer, I must say this challenge is the most fun I have ever had. In both 08 and again in 09 this time around.

I played Dafuge's first in 08, but I found I disliked the lack of international players in the lower leagues, whereas in this challenge anyone from Central Europe will play for you from the bottom.

Currently after 21 games of 30 I am 7th with 31 points, 7 points off promotion, my mid season collapse hurt a lot, but now the push is back towards the top. I also have a large new contingent coming in July that will hopefully make my club one of the star teams of the division, all the players coming are of Decent Liga Sagres level or better according to my scouts

Gareth, I would be worried bout the takeover. I am very happy in my team with a chairman that lvoes the club, yes my bank balance has never been positive, I have finally started to stop the flow of money out th door and it looks like i might finish the season with -1 million, but so long as I keep up a top half finish the fans keep coming through the doors and propping my club up barely.

My Board have pumped 3 million pounds through the club since I started, meaning my true balance is -4 million, but oh well.

Where are they now?

So I went through all the players in my past squads and there were 5 big names who had moved on and were still involved in the game.

Dunga - He was the leading DM in season 2009/10
Martinho - Spent two seasons as the clubs leading goalscorer, now banging them in elsewhere
Fernandes - Former star DM, but now he plays in the Liga Sagres
Ernesto - A long serving member of the squad Ernesto was not good enough to amke the step up
Vieira - Equally at home on the left and the right battled to keep his spot and lost.
Braga - He got us promoted, but had better players replace him.

Who needs to move teams?

Well with a lot of movement expected over the summer months, I decided to do a special update on who is coming and going from Fafe with the aim of building a title winning Liga Vitalis squad for 2014/15 season. (I will include a world cup update at some point too)

Ins

Golas - A Young Keeper, who I think could grow to replace Carrasso.
Sanchez - This guy is to give me some more options in the centre of midfield.
Lima - Looks to replace Kipulo in the new season, the fan favourite is now 32 and looks like needing a rest.
Flasse - Needing a new player in the centre of my defense, my older players need replacing as they aren't up to the current standard.
Fiore - Clearly one for the future, lets see him play first though.
Ciza - He will be the starting DM for the new season.
Dulom - A new Left Winger, younger than Ruben and of a similar quality should battle for a starting spot.
Mpon A Rim - The next big thing up front or on the wing, may play back-up to Garcia, Fonseca and (Name escapes me) but will be a part of it.
Reis - A high value DC looks to assert himself in the new season.
M Ferreira - A youthful Right winger, hopefully better than the previous versions.Borges - Most likely next seasons DL back-up, unless Kipulo is still up to it.

Outs

Ricardo - The first DC to sogn with a new club after seeing my coming shake-up.
Bozic - The striker was just not up to quality anymore and had comfortably been replaced.
Diaz - The Attacking Midfielder never got a place in the team and is gone very quickly.
Freitas - The goalie with the least goals conceded in a season has been surpassed by two others, time to find a new team.
De Sousa - Was supposedly better than Borja, but he never proved it, time to leave.
Antunes - My first ever Youth Project, no development whatsoever leaves him out, but he actually found a team to take him.
Lepetit - The DC couldn't get past the rest, time to take a trip elsewhere.
Tiago - A long time member of the squad but only a few starts he is out on his Arse.
Steven - Another long time benchwarmer has been asked to leave.
Suanes - The striker never really made it top class and as such leaves earlier than he should.

Des Tiny's AD Fafe in Liga Vitalis
End of Season Update 2013/14

So after gaining promotion last season, my hopes were to avoid relegation and try to cement a place in the Liga Vitalis for another season and use this season as a building block towards a better placement come 2014/15, but after a great start I saw a shot at a double promotion. With early results going my way top half was most likely finish and with players performing well we had a chance. My League Cup Run was poor, though in the Portuguese cup we made the last sixteen, finishing up losing to Sporting CP who finished runners up to Porto in the Cup, won the League Cup and Won the Liga Sagres. So in the end I was happy to see my team finish 5th. Delighted to see Kipulo be crowned Mr April. The U19s also overperformed finishing 4th with only the Liga Sagres teams above them. I was impressed with my teams showing in all the Liga Vitalis stats as well. LV Team Stats & LV Player Stats. And then the surprise came at the end of the season as Fafe were named as Most Improved Club in Portugal for the season. Crowds were markedly improved on last season so that has to be a good thing.

The Star Players

Kipulo
Moreno
Jonathan
Garcia - The Champion Striker managed to net himself the Top Goalscorer award this season.
Sampaio
Cardinali

Sampaio took out the coveted Kipulo award becoming the first man since Primo to knock the Captain off his perch.

Only Garcia made the Liga Vitalis Team of the Year.

The Full Squad & U19s

U19 Stats
Fafe Player Stats
The All-time XI
Team of the Year

Other Facts

And the Board Confidence in me set a new high through this season. Sponsorship seems to be a large reason why my finances look like they do.
Season Summary shows us as the overacheivers and that the signing of the year was also from the Fafe Stable.
Fafe's Records
Where are they? an update on some star players who are no longer here.
A great season saw me awarded 3rd in the Manager of the year.
A new season and some new TV Rights

My Youth

Two players stand out as ones to watch that have come through my clubs ranks.

A. Ferreira
P. Fonseca

The Fafe Football Messenger

Jersey 61 Retired

Thursday July 24th 2014 - Fafe

I am writing from the headquarters of Associação Desportiva de Fafe where there has been a huge ceremony this evening to celebrate a great player. Jose "Kipulo" Pereira has been celebrated as one of the greatest players this club has ever seen. He joined the club in July 2009 and after 5 top class seasons with the club he has left earlier today when he has signed a contract with Rio Ave. In a first in Portuguese Football the jersey Kipulo wore in his playing days has been retired and will not be worn again in this club. The Number 61 was raised to the roof in this ceremony while the man himself was surrounded by his loved ones.

Kipulo captained this team for the past three seasons, he was the fans player of the year in 2010/11, 2011/12 & 2012/13. He captained the side to back to back victories in the Second Division Group A in 2011/12 and 2012/13. Over his five years in Fafe he started 162 times, for 44 goals, 7 assists, 19 Man of the Match awards for an average rating in this paper of 7.24. A glittering career for a true man of the people, it is a sad day to say it has come to an end. Everything must end eventually, even a career like this. Des Tiny ended the function by saying "A club of Fafe's reputation only sees a player like this once in a lifetime, I wish him the best of luck and hope he will think of us if he ever wishes to come back to coaching."

Say hello to the new manager of Club de Fútbol Palencia. Chosen via a combination of cool kits, cool name and a darn cool striker. Only problem is I have four players and no staff Gonna be a long, tough pre-season.

I'll keep you all posted.
