Welcome to the PC/Mac General Discussion forum, please familiarise yourself with the following rules before posting.

We aim to make these forums a welcoming and pleasant experience for our wide range of users, so please respect the rules listed below.

Do not abuse other members

There is no place for abuse on the forums, so do not belitte/abuse and/or flame other users. If you do not like a post, we ask that you either a) ignore the post or b) use the report button if it is breaking any of these rules.

Do not swear/purposefully avoid the swear filter

Any use of foul language, filtered or not, will be dealt with at the moderators' discretion.

Do not post with the intention to antagonise others (trolling)

Do not post simple to incite a reaction from a fellow poster. Those on one the other end of trolling, should ignore posts of this manner.

Do not post in all capitals

On the Internet, the posting in all capitals is the same as shouting and as such is considered rude and offensive.

Do Not Use 'TXT' Speak

Please note that we do not have a limit on the amount of characters you can type on these forums. Thus posting in abbreviated "text" speak is not permitted. Widely used internet abbreviations such as "LOL", "ROTFL", "IMO" and "IIRC" are not subject to this rule.

Always try to be constructive

Posts with the sole intention of 'ranting' will be closed. Constructive criticism however, is always welcome.

Use the Report Button

Instead of responding to inflammatory posts, use the report button. Unfortunately, we cannot see all threads/posts so we rely on our users to report posts which break the rules outlined above.

Post in the relevant forum

Moderators will close or move threads that aren't relevant to a forum. Please ensure you read the forum descriptions before posting.

Piracy

Piracy of Intellectual Property and/or any Copyrighted Material is illegal. The advertising, promotion or admittance of this illegal act on these forums will not be tolerated in any shape or form. Any advertising, promotion or admittance of using pirate version of any SEGA or Sports Interactive product or the usage of cracks or tools to bypass the copy protection for these products will immediate result in a lifetimeban and any relevant details being sent to the anti piracy departments of both companies.

You agree to the following Terms of Service when using these forums.

Posting Guidelines

The following are guidelines to use when posting. They aren't rules, as such so won't result in any punishment.

Use the Search Engine

Please use the search feature before making a new post. This is to prevent duplicates of the same topic, duplicates will be closed.

Player Naming

Player naming is not banned per se in GD, but there are rules of thumb to consider. We are happy for users to use their common sense on this one. If you're posting about well known players ie Ronaldo, Messi then you do not need to warn others of player naming. If however, you're talking about 'hidden gems', then please use [player-naming] in the title or spoiler tags around the player name(s). The same applies if you are sharing the CA/PA of any players.

Use Descriptive Thread Titles

When making a new thread, be as descriptive as possible when choosing the thread title. This helps yourself and other members so please try and avoid being vague.

Use English

Please note that as the vast majority of our users are English speaking that we ask that you post in English. This will enable the community to discusss your post or to help you out if you are asking a question.

Be Helpful

Always try to be helpful and constructive when making posts, we want this forum to be a welcoming place for new and old members alike.

Be Nice

Try and remain calm and sensible. We appreciate that duplicate/unconstructive threads can become frustrating but there is no excuse for rude posts.

The Infraction System

Punishment for breaking rules is based on a points system. Accumulation of points will result in a temporary ban. The table below shows the point totals and the ban periods those totals result in.

First offences often result in a warning, which doesn't carry any points.

Points Ban Period
30 7 Day(s)
60 2 Week(s)
90 1 Month(s)
120 2 Month(s)
150 6 Month(s)
180+ Permanent

This is at the discretion of the admin or moderator. An admin or moderator reserve the right to "skip" any of the intermediate steps and may in exceptional circumstance issue a life-time ban.

Appeals and requests for removal of warnings, infractions and bans should be directed to the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the page.

ImageShack

First off you need to go to ImageShack.

Then you need to click "Browse" as shown in this image:

Next you need to select your image like this:

Once that is done you need to hit "Upload Now":

You will need to wait a few seconds depending on how fast your internet connect is, when it is done the following screen should appear. On it you want to copy the "Forum Code" line like so:

The last thing is putting it into your post, all you need is the bit that is highlighted in red:

Photobucket

First off you need to go to Photobucket, you need to sign up for Photobucket but in my opinion it is better as you can manage your photos and you have a record of what has been uploaded.

Once you have done that you need to click "Upload Now" as shown in this image:

Next you need to click "Select photos and videos":

Once that is done you need to select your images:

You will need to wait a few seconds depending on how fast your internet connect is, when it is done the following screen should appear.

You need to click on the image then a new page should load up, on this you want the "IMG Code":

The last thing is putting it into your post, all you need is the bit that is highlighted in red:

Due to the screenshot limit I have put all the images as links to make it easier. I prefer using Photobucket as I like to manage my files and it also tacks stats of them, i.e. views which is quite interesting.

Help! I can't post!

The registration system changed fairly recently because of privacy/security concerns. Unfortunately, this has had the knock on effect of allowing spambots to register and flood the forum with advertising messages and dubious links.

We have a system that detects spambots and automatically assigns them to post moderation so their posts don't show up. It isn't a perfect system though, a few spambots slip through the net, and more importantly a few genuine users end up on the spambots list.

If you have just registered and your posts aren't showing up, then you are one of the few who has bothered to read this. Don't panic. Stay patient. Keep posting as normal. Only submit your post once. Any active moderators should approve your posts, and after a few have been approved then you should be automatically taken off post moderation.

If you can't wait, then please PM Neil Brock, who in addition to his duties at SI is in charge of fixing (and occasionally breaking) the forums. Please PM him as he has the power to take you off post mod. Mere moderators do not.

Thank you.
