Please help me, my game keeps on crashing! Ive got loads of space on my computer so it isnt that, and im close to smashing the thing up and never buying a football manager game again! It really is that bad! Help!

Oh and for some reason it wont let me play in 'windowed mode' so i cant try that?!

IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WHEN I SAVE IT AND SOMETIMES WHEN IM JUST PLAYING! WILL IT BE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE SAVE FILES, ROLLING SAVES OR SOMETHING? IT SAYS A CRASH DUMP AS BEEN ENTERED OR SOMETHING (FM 2009 v9.2.0.30301 (2009.01.02 18.08.01).dmp)

Is it happening at the same point every time?

Do you do a rolling save?

pretty much the same point every time, sometimes i can play a few days, than it crashes, sometimes it crashes when the game database is loading. should i be useing rolling saves?

What are your computer specifications? What's in the dmp file?

Are you patched to 9.2.0?

Probably due to his window resolution.

Well, the minimum is 1024 x 768 and I run windowed mode with that on my desktop

im not, tried saving it and it crashed while saving, so i cant load the game anymore!

Make sure you made no mistakes in adding that bit to the end of the target. It should read like this:
"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" -windowed -small_screen

Is that the exact target that you have? Also, are you using a PC or a Mac & did you activate with Steam or UniLoc?

right click on Football Manager icon on your desktop and change the target to this.

Have done, the old saves dont work anyway, because it crashed while they were saving!

Another suggestion quickly, try just staying on the FM screen when saving

If that doesnt work then post in here and the should ask you to upload your crash dump and then can try and figure out whats going on.

When in windowed, do not remove FM from your screen when saving.

right, now its saying 'array access out of bounds' when its loading the game database!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Failing that, get on the phone to Customer Services to get a run through of your computer spec.

This is probably no help but I had this problem on 08. If you click ok the game should minimize, click the icon at the bottom of your screen and hopefully it will continue.

Like I say it was 08 but I definitely had the out of bounds box pop up numeroes times.
