Default Learn new language as a Manager?

I'm playing as a British/Spanish Manager but I got a job managing Fiorentina in Italy. Will I automatically learn to speak Italian over time or is there something specfic I should do to pick up the language?

You should learn it automatically, it will say in your manager profile that you know basic italian and that should develop into fluent.

    Give it time...

How does learning a language which is used by most of the players in the squad help in the game?

It's easier to communicate with your players...

Should takes about 6 months to get basic skills - sometimes less (unless your name is Juande)

Yep, like other people have said. Your ability to speak Italian will develop over time, on it's own .

Also remember not to stop players indulging in chocolate muffins or donuts and forcing them to eat food with more than 2 legs...

    LOL

Its moments like this that you should at least consider whoever's on the bench.

I bet even Ramos was considering warming up to show him how it's done.

Only Woodgate would understand what he said and judging from what's been heard he wouldn't pay much attention...

    What is your nationality?

When you select Dutch you automatically get English and German (at least in FM08). German basic but still.

I picked a dual national Canadian/Mexican one time for the hell of it and started with English, French, and Spanish as languages.

I know starting as German will give you German and English as well.
