Is this an issue with everyone else?

I've managed to sign many regens from big clubs before they sign a new contract. I don't mean older out of contract youth players, I mean youth players that arrived a week or so earlier. I'm a newly promoted Stirling Albion (Scottish Div 1) and I've managed to sign pretty much all of the promising youth players from all the scottish premier league teams. (I think I've signed 12 players, only 1 signed a new contract with his original team)

I'd have assumed that they'd have had at least a years contract on promotion to the youth team...

Did you have to pay any compensation to their previous clubs?

Nope, all on free transfers.

I think the compensation only kicks in if they'd previously signed a contract (I got there first!)

I haven't checked to see if its an issue with other leagues. Some of them are now my best players, only 16 and on £100 a week! I'll just have to hope that I can with something with kids....

It's at least posted there, but no feeback from SI or anyone else involved with the game, which would be nive. I must admit I havent experienced it (thought of it), but it clearly seems as something that needs to be looked at. However it's quite funny that in 08 people complained that the regens weren't good enough, and now they're too easy to get hold of
