fm 08 regens

They were awful.


There were no good regens. Maybe one or two in the world. They had good PAs, but their CAs were mostly rubbish, and their stats were in the wrong places. e.g. stats that would be suited to other positions, players not having good physical stats, low work rates etc.

Well they do come out with some stupid stats sometimes, but on the whole they're ok.

I did a game with QPR till 2019 and had some good solid players... a couple of ridiculous ones, but some really nice balanced ones.

just thinking fm 08 had the right balance in terms of not to easy not to hard....fm 09 seems have gone another notch away tactically meaning u need brilliant tactics to succeed...


so basically fm 08 goes really poor when all the regens take over the game???

In 08 I actually had some amazing regens. Had 6 on my Cardiff squad that had PA over 185 and were nearing their full potential while still pretty young.

Overall, yes, there really were problems with regens over time. I'm a career game player and wish it weren't true, but it is.

For those who were saying they were fine I started a massive thread off comparing the regens to original database players (PA,CA, attributes for position) and it was pretty conclusive.

They were f***ed.

They are fine in my game, actually i have quite a few really good one's too! I'm in the year 2018 and my game is just getting better and better.

showing that you have a few great ones in your file proves nothing - the point was that the overall distribution was messed up to the point where there'd be considerably less good players in the world in 2018 than in 2008, with the physical stats in particular being appalling - your average defender would be miles worse in the air than your average 2008 defender etc
