I would love to get a non DRM version but I doubt I can hang on that long

They arent going to release a non authentication patch because it could be applied to any non authenticated game so they would in effect be releasing a crack.

True, but I think it could worsen the problem by offering it as an official download on their website. Besides there may be someone in the world who doesnt know how to check certain a certain scandinavian website for the torrent (tho i doubt it )

As i've said in other threads I am very much anti-drm as youve said that inconveniences paying customers and does little to stop piracy, sadly its the direction the games industry seems to be heading in. I hope they reconsider using it next year but I think its a little unrealistic to expect any change to this version.
