I don't believe it... In my 3-1 win over Aris, my keeper scored...

my first thought was "shouldnt the keeper be on the pitch?", and the second was "why cant mine to that?"

Haven't seen that on 09 Was it from a kickout or did he go up for a set piece?

Seem to recall it on older versions alright but that and 60 yard chips from your own half seem to have disappeared this year.

He took a free kick from just utside his area, it went over the top of everyone, bounced in the other keepers box, went over his head and into the net.

I was away from the computer at the time, when I came back and it was saying "Androutsos scores! That's his first ever senior goal" I thought that my game was stuffing around.

Each season it's a challenge for the league, it's never gonna get easy.

We beat Liverpool 1-0 at home then 3-2 at Anfield, s onto the quarters we go. We face Real Madrid there. We lost to them bth times in the groups, but we have beaten them over 2 legs before, in our winning UEFA Cup campaign a couple of seasons ag. A good omen, perhaps?

I'm confindent of beating them for 2 reasns. 1, I've figured out how to get the best out of my team in Greece and in Europe. Using the same tactic, all I do is in Greece, I use a Free Role striker on the left. In Europe, I interchange that with a Target Man Striker. I really noticed the difference against Liverpool, we were able to keep the ball in possesion up front longer.

Secondly, we've won every game since Panathinaikos beat us in December (that always seems to happen...)

By the way, the first leg is away, thankfully.

We lost 5-4 in Spain, it was a simply strange game. We had almost none of our regular defence through injuries. When we got our players back or the 2nd leg, we destroyed Madrid 4-1 at home!

Now it's payback time, we play the team who beat us in the 2025/26 CL final, Barcalona. First game at home.

If we get through, I think we have a decent chance of winning, the other semi is Man Utd and Lyon and we've beaten both.

We drew 0-0 at home then 2-2 in Spain so we are through to our 2nd final on away goals! We play Manchester United.

In other news, we won the league on the least day of the league, beating AEK Athens 1-0 away to secure our 8th consectutive title by 1 point. Closest season for a while.

We beat Man Utd 3-2 in the Champions League final!

Ola Lindstrom opened the scoring for us on 28 minutes, but that was cancelled out 2 minutes later. Then on 58 minutes, Ludwig Muller put us 2-1 ion front, before on 74 minutes Man Utd equalised again. Just as it looked like it was heading to extra time, Pal Breivik put the ball past his own keeper, and put us in front 3-2 with 4 minutes left! It stayed that way, and challenge complete.

Report will be up tomorrow, my internet is very slow at the moment. It will be worth the wait though, it will be BIG.

EDIT - I won the league 8 times in a row, I won the UEFA Cup, I won the european Super Cup, and now after this Champions League victory, i'm finally on the favourred personal list

Best Buy: Ivan Samardzhiev. A young left/centre back with fantastic talent. I'm hoping he's on the road for great things, and a few more players like him could really help the squad on our push for Europe.
Worst Buy: Probably Pierre Alexandre Pluchino Gallupo. The young Venezuelan looks good, but he only scored 2 in 29 for us this season, not a good record at all. Hopefully he'll improve though, he's still got years ahead of him.
Transfers Out: 11 players, for £1M total
Best Sale: Sergey Danilov. An incredible talent, but for £1M, it was a fantastic sale; thats a £910k profit for just 6 months! I'd have loved to have kept him for longer though, and selling him to a rival club in the same division wasn't preferable though.

Reflection: A much lower budget for this season, but that could only be expected with the poor financial situation - we'll keep making a loss until we're in Europe every year, I'll just have to keep selling players to balance the books until then. The sale of Danilov helped a lot, and we were in the black for the whole year, although we're down to about £100k in terms of balance now. Hopefully I'll have enough to strengthen us for our strongest season yet.

We started fairly well, with a few wins here and there, but had our usual mid-to-end season slump, which really needs to be arrested sooner rather than later if we intend to become one of the best sides in Hungary.

Aim For Next Season: Top half of the table again, perhaps pushing for Europe? A cup run wouldn't go amiss.

Table Team Transfers

What an exciting season! Athlone Town held 1st place for about a third of the season and i was following them closely the whole time. They begin to hit a poor run of form which saw them slump outside of the top three whilst i grabbed first, despite a couple of hiccups we held 1st place for the rest of the season until the second last game where we lost and St Pat's Athletic won to send them two points ahead of us with one game to go. And who should we play in our final league game but St Pat's. Unfortunately we looked shaky the entire game losing 3-1 and handing St Pat's the title and automatic promotion.

Despite it now being unlikely that we would achieve promotion this season all was not lost. We managed to beat Limerik FC 2-0 in the first division playoff final with thanks to a brace from Robbie Collins, the game also brought a record crowd of 2584 to Fahy's Field (our home ground) and record tickect revenue for a game reaching £16K, four times the previous record of £4K.

Upon hearing that we had to face Sligo Rovers in the Premier Division Relegation Playoff Final (i.e. the winner goes to the premier division and the loser goes to the first division) I wasn't optimistic. Although they had had a poor season in the premier division they had managed to reach the final of the Irish Senior Challenge Cup. Down 2-0 in the first leg at home, second half goals from Hopkins and Browne grabbed us a draw which left me satisfied that we hadn't been pushovers. The second leg started fairly evenly but Sligo Rovers went up 1-0 on the 10 minute mark before O'Connor levelled the game inside 21 minutes. It stayed this way until the end of 90 minutes, despite numerous chances from both teams. Because there is no away goal rule the game went to extra time, where Sligo Rovers did what they should have done a long time ago, finishing us off with a goal in extra time. Promotion was so close.

Despite missing out on promotion I won't mind spending one more season in the first division although we should be able to win promotion this coming season. O'Connor was the top scorer in the league this season with 19 goals and 20 for the season due to his lone cup goal. A good season all round with the challenge for the off season being to find a good MC with creativity and passing. Next season I want to improve the clubs finances and hopefully finish 1st.

Yay i just noticed that over these past three years my only scout, who is a regen, has seen increases in judging pa and ca. They both used to be at 11 but now he has 14 judging pa and 16 judging ca.

GS Niki Volou - Greek Superleague, 2027/28

It was one hell of a tight season this year, us winning the league on the final day of the year beating AEK 1-0 (sounds familar? That was the score AEK beat us by 9 seasons ago to deny us the title on the last day) Olympiakos pushed us all the way. We should've sewn up the title race a few weeks before, but Olympiakos beat us 3-1 that day.

I made quite a few deals on the market, including Panathinaikos striker Vasillis Psomaidis for 10mil over 24 months, and 20mil after 50 league appearences (I plan to sell him before that)

Olympiakos knocked us out 3-2 on aggregate, so it was disappinting.

Group Stage
Knockout Rounds

After getting drawn in a very tough group of Real Madrid, HSV and Rapid Wien, we started poorly, losing 3-2 at home to Madrid, then having a 2-2 in Germany. The was followed by thrashing Rapid Wien 3-0 at home, before drawing 1-1 in Austria. We then lost 4-2 in Spain, before drawing 1-1 in Germany for progression on head-to-head results.

In the knockout rounds, we played Liverpool in the 1st Knockout Round. A 1-0 home win was followed by a 3-2 away win to send us throough to the next stage.

In the Quarter Finals, we played group opponents Real Madrid. Despite being weakened by injuries, we picked up a wonderful result by losing 5-4 in Spain. In the end, the 4 away goals didn't matter as we trounced Real Madrid 4-1 at home.

And onto the Semi Finals we went, where we played the team that 2 year previously, had beaten us in the Champions League Final. A 0-0 home draw put us on the back foot. But we drew 2-2 in Spain to put us through on away goals.

We played Manchester United in the Final. They were always gonna be a tough opponent. A good start put us ahead after 28 minutes, before they equalised straight after the kickoff. We then went in front again on 58 minutes, put they equalised on 74 minutes. Just as it looked like it was going to extra time, like my first Champions League final, Stefano Costa (Not Pal Breivik, got mixed up before) put the ball into his own net and puit us ahead again, this time 3-2. We went on the become Champions of Europe.

He been my only keeper for seasons now, thankfully he never seems to get injured. Hasn't missed a game in around 7 seasons. A youth academy player.

My veteran right back, takes a mean free kick. Wants to be an Ass Man when he retires, he's deifinelty has a spot in my staff.

Jaun Antonio Iglesias

Sold him 7 seasons ago to Newcastle, next season he became a wonderkid. Bought him back in January after managing to unsettle him.

Left Defence

Thanasis Moukeas

He's come thrugh my Youth Academy, and is still very young. He is one of the best full back in the Greek Superleague.

Jean-Francois Lambert

My young French fullback is improving each month. Should be one of the best in the world some day.

Central Defence

Nikos Savvidis

He is the best central defender in the league. I might sell him now the challenge is over, I was a bit nervous that my defence would turn crappy and refuse to work. Has been wanting to leave for seasons now, but still played extremely well. Since the challenge is over, I'll take over the Greek National Team and finally give him the cap he deserves. Another youth academy player.

Iraklis Papadopoulos

He is wonderful. Should take over from Savvidis quite well if he finally leaves. Another youth academy player.

Stoyan Drumev

The Bulgarian centre back is a stalwart at the back.

Ibrahim Diarra

I bought him from an African club for 7k, he has 5 star potential.

Dominik Striet

Signed for 1mil from Germany, also has 5 star ptential.

Right Midfield

Ludwig Muller

After Siaravas retired, I never thought I'd have such a wonderful replacement in Muller.

Ozgur Yakar

Has 4 star potential, a couple of players "Believe Yakar has an exciting future ahead of him"

Left Midfield

Michael Popvich

Has only achieved 4 stars of his 5 star potential. AC Milan want him. At only 21, he is a bright prospect for the future.

Francisco Martins

The Brazilian winger improved beyond sight this season, and had a terrific season as well. 17 appearences for a 7.24 rating is pretty good if you ask me!

The wonderful French midfielder has always been terrific for us since joining.

Giorgos Kallimanis

What can I say? He'll definelty be a Greek national team regular now i've taken over the reins.

Timothe Kern

My young French midfielder. He can pass, no doubt about it. Has a bright future at the club.

Emre Torlak

My even younger Turkish midfielder. He is a regular in the first team. Should be a Turkey regular soon enough.

Wellington Gomes

He's only a backup, but he is a wonderful backup at that. Everyone knows that if your using a Brazilian international as a backup, your team is pretty strong!

Jonas Johansson

He. Is. A. Footballing. God. The Swedish striker has just been brilliant. Another wonderful scouting find, only cost me 500k!

Ola Lindstrom

The aging player had a wonderful season regardless. 17 goals showed us he isn't gonna retire anytime soon.

Vasiilis Psomiadis

I signed him because he was Panathinaikos's most dangerous player. He had been top goalscoer 2 seasons in a row, had already scored 14 in 13 games by mid season, what else was I gonna do? After I signed him, Panathinaikos slipped down the table.

Best Buy: Juan David Pérez, was brought in on a free transfer, and like his fellow Colombian at the club, Christian Mejia (soon to leave for Norway though...) has adapted to life at Budafok brilliantly, scoring more goals this season than anyone else.
Worst Buy: Marius Illiescu. He was brought in for free to deputise for Mark Brighetti in goal, but was limited to just the one appearance, in which he conceded three goals. Not the best debut season, but he'll be given matches to impress over the forthcoming one.
Transfers Out: 17 players, for £1.1M total.
Best Sale: Gediminas Ceponkus, another huge £1M sale, this time to his native Lithuanians, FBK Kaunas.

Reflection: The wage budget was cut hugely, in favour of a larger transfer budget, which I chose not to use so much of - rather keeping the club's bank balance in order. We didn't really need the huge wage budget, though, having released or sold big earners such as Baliko, Palfi, Ceponkus and Schuler. Younger, cheaper and fresher talent was brought in to replace, and the ploy succeeded.

We achieved our highest ever finish - fourth, missing third position and a Europa League spot by just 4 points. Not that it mattered, since we qualified anyway, due to winning the cup. And a fantastic season cupwise it was, winning one and finishing runners up in the other, losing 3-1 to Ferencváros in a match we could have won on another day.

Aim For Next Season: Make Europe again. And impress in our time there this season.

European Fun

What a start we've had to our first ever European campaign! We were entered into the Third Round Qualifying Round as an unseeded side, and drew Norwegians Tromso, which I thought was a fair draw. We won 1-0 at home, and managed to hold Tromso off when we went back to Norway, to qualify for the next round!

Stiffer competition awaited though, in the shape of Danes FC Kobenhavn. We played the first leg against them at home too, and got another 1-0 win, although Nagy's last minute penalty which should have made it 2, connected with the post and was cleared away. To Denmark we went, with plenty of confidence, but with serious underdog tags. We shrugged them off in style, playing brilliantly, and although we lost 2-1, managed to qualify by virtue of away goals! I'll let you know of the group stage draws when I know.

We're heading to Christmas 2024 after an enforced hiatus of nigh on 3 months. Just moved into the new Stadium, and have a CL group with Juventus and Real Madrid to negotiate

Unfortunately, got knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages but I'm on course for the domestic double. Currently unbeaten all season and only conceded 6 goals in 17 league matches.

Welsh Premier League Cup

This season we went one better and won the league meaning we get into the champions league qualifying stages. This was due to our players being young and getting better every game we also went on a streak of 11 wins and 24 games unbeaten which was the main reason we won the league as it opened up a nice gap. The players also won the welsh premier league cup with the highlight beating llanelli

Gentlemen, if you don't mind, I'm going to get back into this with a new save.

I had a couple of good games playing this on FM08 but have still yet to settle into anything long term on 09. Hopefully, things will change now!!

After using a cheeky random number generator, I found myself heading to the Ukraine to join Zirka Kirovograd in the First League. First things to note are that the club is already professional and has a 14,000 capacity stadium. The board's expectations are that I stay clear of relegation.

I don't have a game running currently due to FM09 match engine stuttering and being quite jerky at times on my computer, so I decided to uninstall it. It just become so slow at times and was so frustrating. SI have said they where looking into it but still no solution. First time in 10 years I've not played FM for 2 months straight. Plus my personal life has been pretty hectic of late so wouldn't of had the time anyway. That's why I've not been very active in here of late.

Yeah I do have a modest budget. So as you say, I'm able to build my squad the way I want. The downside is, my reputation is making it hard to sign anyone. I'm going to have a fight to try and avoid relegation which I'm pegged to do by the media.

Pogon were in the top level a few seasons ago but had financial problems and were relegated.... Might explain why decent players are happy to join.

Quick update on Pogon - 9 games in and we're 5th in the league. We are the draw masters; we have drawn 5 already! Only one defeat so far however so we definitely seem to be a tough outfit to beat. Fingers crossed we should manage a top half finish

as me and Gundo discussed, this version is a lot harder than previous games. I would recommend a read of TT&F which has really helped me enjoy the game more.

Only downside I found in Romania was the finances. Prize money and wage budgets are awful but once you get to the CL you can dominate because of the money you get. Great players to be had though and no really meaningful restrictions on foreigners (Non-EU) either.

good old injuries! if i remember correctly you can normally bag some good players on loan in belgium too and there aren't many restrictions on doing so

27 games into Pogon's first season and we're sitting a comfortable, if unspectacular, 7th. Pretty pleased all in all. I'm still working on my tactic as the passing stats could be better. Should hopefully finish off the season tonight and get a brief report up

As soon as i took over at Zolder we were given our Semi-Pro status. We decent finances for such a small club, they stood at around 80k. There was no doubt that we would end the season in the red, we have a small stadium of around 2500 seats.

We brought in 9 players altogether eight for free and one loanee. We released six. Transfers

The reason I asked is that I saw that post patch the promotions in the summer leagues are hard-coded in. I've started in 2007 and holidayed a season so Afturelding are one of the promoted clubs then.

Mid Season Report 2010-2011

We started the season with a shock that we are not in the Turkish League Cup Most probably my oversight in pre-season report that I claimed to do better in the cup. Anyway, we've started the season with an undefeat run. Ten wins along side six draws see us top the Phase 1 Group A. We were not scoring much but we were able to get a desired score when needed. During transfer window started our Championship Group campaign and we are still undefeated by now. Yaaay!

When it comes to transfers and squad, the team was lacking a left winger sub. So there seemed one transfer out as planned and a possible left winger joining in but bad news struck just after the transfer window started. First choice GK Fevzi Elmas was out for 4-5 months and I have to sign another keeper just to assure that my U18 keepers are playing every week and not sitting on my subs bench. So the transfer window ended as planned with a left winger and a goalkeeper joining.

A mix bag of a season for Zolder, we started well, became rubbish and ended well to ensure survival. Still this season the board did not want to make any links to parent or feeder clubs.

We brought in 13 players in total. 12 for free and we spent 7k on a DM from Charleroi. Eleven players were released for no fee. Transfers

It seems the teams from the previous season's Championship group and the newly-promoted sides are in the cup - do you know if that's right? It seems strange that teams just promoted from the 3rd Division would be entered ahead of last season's 2nd Division clubs...

Yalovaspor, 2021-21 Season Review

Turkish Cup: Runners-up
Super Cup: Winners!
We dominated domestically this season and very nearly got a clean sweep of the trophies, only losing the cup final on penalties. The league campaign was our easiest yet as the title was wrapped up with 5 games to go and we went unbeaten with only 16 goals conceded (and that was with the first choice goalkeeper out for half of the season too). As we have been eliminated from the cup on penalties two years in a row, we haven’t lost a domestic game in nearly 18 months.

Champions League: 3rd in Group A
Europa Cup: 2nd Knockout Round
After reaching the quarter finals last time, I had high hopes for this year but they were soon dashed when we were again seeded 4th for the group draw and wound up with Man Utd and Sevilla. We needed to pick up points aginst them at home but we flopped, losing all 4 games against those two sides. A pair of wins over Partizan ensured we went into the Europa Cup though.

We started with a bang there as we hammered CSKA Moscow 6-0 in our 1st Knockout Round, 1st Leg match. We came unstuck with a 1-0 loss away to Palermo in the next round and we ran them close in the return match but they grabbed that all important away goal to send them through as the aggregate score was tied at 2-2. That was a shame as after this point, Real Madrid were the only really tough side left so we really missed out on a chance to do very well this season.

Key Players
Lucas Nieto – finally settled after arriving last season and really pulled the strings from midfield. Won Foriegn Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year.

Mauro Ledesma – returned to the club in January after two years at Espanyol (I noticed he had a release clause of just ₤4mil so I activated it and got ₤1.6mil back due to a sell-on clause ). He turned the defence from tight to watertight and powered in some trademark headers at the other end too.

Zdenek Holy – the other part of the rock solid defensice partnership. Now favoured personnel at the club.

Karim Ravensbergen – really started to fufill his potential this season. Solid at the back and dangerous going forward and winner of the Young Player of the Year award.

Hasan Kayhan – set a new club record with 15 assists from the left flank and scored some match winning goals too. Played in all of Turkey’s World Cup Qualifiers but was mysteriously dropped for the finals.

Levent Kaplan – did on the right wing what Hasan did on the left. Would have featured even more if not for injury.

Yasar Dede – the club’s topscorer and still classed as a ‘wonderkid’. Provided plenty of assists too. I hope I can hold on to him as he hasn’t quite fufilled his potential yet. That may be hard though as just about every club in Europe wants to sign him!


The Season Ahead
Having dominated so easily at home, we need to do better in Europe and that will be my main focus for next season. As long as I can hold onto my current squad, new signings shouldn’t be necessary but I have about ₤35mil available if they are. We will be in new surroundings next season as the 13,500 capacity Yalovaspor Stadium is now complete. I shall be asking for an immediate increase to the capacity, however.

Beylerbeyi have been a big surprise over the last few seasons. They were actually my first opponents in my first season back in the 2nd Division! They came up to the Premier League in 2016 and have been steadily working their way up the table since then. Last season they spent over 15 million on transfers including the signing of an Argentinian striker right from under my nose.

Göztepe spent a good few years coming in and out of the 2nd Division but eventually made it to the 1st Division in 2018. They have been relegated and promoted again since then but last season managed to survive.

I like the way the league has been shaken up in my game. I thought Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Besiktas would be making life hard for me every season but instead Beylerbeyi and Rizespor are challenging. Did you also notice Trabzonspor's decline?

Yea, it was happening in 2008 & 2007 versions. Not really surprised to be honest Also it'd be hilarious if Beylerbeyi still has Galatasaray as a parent club in your game Too lucky for me, I managed to snap their potential star defender last season (Hakan Seyran) and he's performing just as I expected him to. Hopefully will be done with the season in a day or two. A couple of matches between finals work like charm

I'll also be doing a Genie Scout report when I finish(abandon) the game. I'm hoping to see different teams up there to compete in reputations with the top three.

A few weeks into the new season now and I've got Celtic, Sevilla and CFR Cluj in the Champşons League this time. I reckon 2nd is an acheiveable target.

Another difficult pre-season though with players getting unsettled by interest from other clubs. Also had that annoying complaint of 'too much competition for a first team place' from both my DMs after I signed an AMC

Ungmennafélagið Afturelding or commonly shortened to UMFA, I'll call it that from now on, are a sports club based in Mosfellsbær which is located about 10 miles North-East of Reykjavik. They play in the Varmárvöllur with a capacity of 1000 with 300 seats and I would say is in a pretty nice setting:



They have now announced Craig Wright as their new manager who will probably win a few games and keep them in mid table mediocrity if their lucky.

2011/12 - KVV Heusden-Zolder - Second Division Belgium

Media Prediction - 18th
Finished - 8th

A much better season from Zolder, we had a shaky start, not winning in 4. We soon found our feet and began to move up the table. We reached the heavy heights of 5th but never found stability to stay there. A small run of poor results meant we fell down to 10th but we managed to rise back up to a respectable 8th.

Less transfer activity this season as have a decent set of players, there was just a few key positions that needed adding to. 6 in and 4 out all for no fee's. Transfers

Finances have improved vastly. Stadium expansion meant we moved to another stadium which helped immediately. In january we moved back to our expanded 5000 capacity stadium and now have a healthy 2500 average attendance.

Apologies for laziness on my part, I have been playing and not updating!

Plucky Pogon finished 7th in the first season. We are currently 5th in our second season with 4 to play. 1 point off automatic promotion in what is a fiercely contested league. Annoyingly 3 out of the 4 games are away!! Can't see us going up to be honest, nor are we good enough yet.

2012/13 - KVV Heusden-Zolder - Second Division Belgium

Media Prediction - 11th
Finished - 3rd Promoted via Play-Offs

Unbelievable season for Zolder, somehow we managed to gain promotion to the Pro League. We're still a semi professional club with players on part time contracts. Hopefully that is something that will be addressed this coming season.

Only three players in this season as we trimmed the squad with 10 players out. We spent a massive 19k, with 16 of it on one player. Transfers

Finances yet again have improved vastly. Fans flocked to see us again this season, but we had a slightly lower average attendance, although we didn't have that 12k stadium for half the season. A new sponsership deal was brokered to bring in 350k a season.

UMF Afturelding - Season 2009 update

Results

We actually started very well in the Upper League Cup, with 7 points from our first four games we were actually dead level with KR in joint 2nd with 2 qualifying. We lost it in the last minute (I'm not actually sure what would have happened with a draw there, would we have gone through on alphabetical order?) but KR later finished 2nd in the Premier Division so it was a decent effort.

Very disappointed to go out in the Cup 2nd round with our feeder team getting further than we did.

As for the league, even though we finished much higher than expected I am disappointed as we lost a lot of games that we shouldn't have and only finishing 4 points off promotion.

Now for the key players:

Hermann Albertsson: The only ever present in the side and an excellent season he had whether playing left back, left midfield or centre midfield.

Andrés Kolbeinsson: This man had a 7 star rating at 15 he is that good, hopefully he can stay at Afturelding and become a future star. He was doing so well in the league until he broke his leg, I'm just hoping this is a one off rather than the fact he has a 20 for injury proneness.

Halldór Sigurðsson: Signed on a free half way through the season and played very well in the centre of midfield, despite his flair going down a notch I hope he can improve as he's only 20.

Jakob Spangsberg: Signed on a free a few games into the season, an excellent striker for this level, could have scored a few more though.

Our finances have rocketed up from around £20k to over £90k during the season. We have actually got a wage budget of £4,807 pw and I'm only using £1,224 pw. The first thing I did was offer contracts as we were purely amateur at the start and the players only wanted £20 - £40 pw. If I can keep the wages low and keep playing well hopefully we can improve training facilities, maybe.

A great run towards the end of the season saw us claim an unlikely play off show down with Ekstraklasa side Ruch Chorzow.

So we were far from outclassed but in the end lost out to the better team. They dominated the first leg having two goals disallowed. The second leg was a fairly balanced affair and the boys did well all in all.

Pretty much even stream of players coming in and out. Some good players that helped our push for promotion though, Skiba and Biskup were both fantastic.

15 assists and 4 goals were a fine return for his first season at the club. Annoyingly he's got a non-promotion release clause in his contract, which I'm desperately trying to renegotiate as we speak!!

Absolutely dire!! I think the problem is that we have a huge 17,000 capacity stadium which we are not filling and this is costing us big time. We're within the wage budget so not sure what else I can do at the moment. I don't want to resort to selling my best players to raise capital but will have to look at how things go next year to see if i can avoid that!

Future

- Top 3 finish again would be ideal, if not top two 2 to avoid the dreaded playoff!! To be honest, I think we were pretty lucky to finish third this time round so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't do as well next time.
- Strengthen the squad. I'm struggling to find players better than those at the club at the moment, but I'm hoping to spot some youngsters with Ekstraklasa potential for the future.

Another fantastic season for Zolder, we comfortably survived the season. We even had a opportunity to play European Football next season but fell at the first hurdle losing on penalties to Cercle Brugge in knock out competition.

Much more transfer activity this season. 12 players out, mainly youth team not good enough to earn a new contract. Eleven players came in. Four were pre arranged transfers from the previous season, players that really weren't good enough for a Pro league team. Enoch Adu has to be the capture of the season for Zolder, coming from a decent Antwerp side who had been relegated. 105k was spent on another 5 players, mainly youngster for the future. Transfers

Finances did improve, until the board announced that 4000 seats would be installed into the stadium. No loans and no outside cash injections cheers board. Nearly 4mil in debt.

Placed 9th in the Division II East with I thought 41 points out of 30 matches and reached the third round of the cup. I was really proud of this, cause we really could reach a place in the left row!
