The FM09 20/20 Challenge

Recommended Posts

I will set this up so that when FM09 comes out this friday the challenge can officially begin. This is a follow up to the 20/20 challenge started by Paul Hartman and continued by me and will be finished if people are still interested. http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=46676

Anyone who is new to this basically you have a week to complete a challenge and you will receive points depending on how you do. Anyone can register to take part. I will keep a spreadsheet of how many points everyone is on. The deadline for each challenge will be the following Saturday at midnight ie. Saturday 23.59.

Roll of Honour:

2008 - apchivers

The Rules:

Screenshots must be provided after each challenge, you will be informed when the challenge is set of the ones you need.

No 'After league appearances' transfer bonuses are allowed.

Only one attempt per challenge per person.

Anyone who misses the deadline will incur a 3 point penalty from that week's challenge

You must use an official database from SI

Good luck to anyone who is taking part.

i'll add your name to the list if you are still interested and you could see the fm08 thread using the link above for more info. when the new game is out you will need to complete the season as the team given within the 1 week deadline and you will score points depending on how well you do.

Isn't the whole point of running the challenges that you do them yourself? Anyway if you want some kind of 'inspiration' the old 20/20 challenge and my CSE European Championships are full of one season challenges.

im not commited enough or good enough for challenges like this but i would like to eccomend a challenge

SHAMROCK ROVERS

the fallen giants of irish football. more honours than anybody else but financial problems and points deductions meant relagation a couple of years ago but know there back(ish).

Do you want to give the challengers the chance to revive rovers and bring a long awaited trophy

I must be the only person that has no interest in managing Luton. It is proberlies best to get it out of the way though. I'm not going to do this challenge as I'd just get sick of it so just mark me down as -3 points but I will be doing them after this.

My fm09 still hasnt arrived :( I'm itching to get going.

I was wrong. The mother just 'remembered' that the postman dropped off a parcel for me. She could have told me this 3 hours ago. Oh well. At least I can get on with it now. Hopefully I wont have any installation problems.

So far played 6 friendlys, won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 to middlesbrough. Sam parkin seems to be my main danger man for the season, being top scorer in those friendlys with 7 goals. Tough part starts now with a home game against Bradford then play ipwsich in the league cup 1st round. Will update when i get half way through the games.

15 games in now -15 points just lost the 3 playing well just constantly getting draw after draw. freddie sears, chris martin and sam parkin top scorers with keith keane best player by far, this is a real struggle can see myself getting the sack to be honest.
