History

If it wasn't for one man, Liverpool Football Club would never have been born. When Everton left Anfield in a dispute over rent in 1892, club chairman John Houlding stayed behind along with a handful of supporters and just three first-team players. But he was determined to see football continue at the ground. He formed a new club from scratch, chose the name Liverpool… and created a legend.

Squad Review

Goalkeepers

Reina - A very good keeper. Might not be the best, but doesn't need replacing

Cavalieri - Not brilliant, but certainly not bad. Very good backup

Itamdje - Not very good, and you could probably do with selling him

Overview - No new players needed. Itandje can be sold.

Centrebacks

Carragher - One of the league's best centre back but is getting old

Agger - A young centre back who is good on the ball as well as in defence

Skrtel - Like Agger, a young player who will only get better

Hyypia - Very old but despite that can still perform.

Overview - A solid area although a new quality young player would be good

Full Backs

Degen - A backup player at best

Aurelio - The best of the full backs although not great

Arbeloa - Is the best right back, but could probably be replaced

Dossena - Good in attack, not so good in defence

Insua - A very good prospect although probably shouldn't start games yet

Overview - One of the weaker areas of the team, needs improving.

Defensive Midfielders

Mascherano - One of the best defensive midfielders in the world

Alonso - A very creative player, more of a centre midfielder than a DMC, but very good

Lucas - A young player who will get better but won't challenge the other two.

Overview - A very good area of the team

Attacking Midfielders

Gerrard - One of the best midfielders in the world. Can also play CM, or DMC

Babel - Young, but has brilliant stats for his age. Gets a lot better. Can also play FC

Kuyt - A real work horse although doesn't have lots of skill on the ball, scores quite a few goals.

Can also play FC

Benayoun - A good player technically, although getting quite old. Very versatile.

Pennant - Pretty useless. One to sell

Riera - Very good with the ball on the left wing.

Overview - A good area but only one standout player

Strikers

Torres - One of the best strikers on the game. Will score lots of goals. Praising him helps!

Keane - A good player although not in the same league as Torres

N'Gog - A young player with great potential

Strikers overview - A good strike force, although could do with another striker of Torres' quality

Improvements

Goalkeeper (GK) - Asenjo, Renan

Centreback (DC) - Fazio, Sakho, Hummels

Right Wingback/Fullback ( D/WB R) - Rafinha, Santon

Left Wingback/Fullback (D/WB L) - Mathieu, Grosso

Defensive Midfielder (DMC) - Veloso, Bodmer

Centre Midfielder (MC) - Veloso, Moutinho

Attacking Midfielder (AMC) - Fernandez, Arshavin, Deigo

Left Wingers (AML) - Fernandez, Young, Mata

Right Wingers (AMR) - Higuain, Cazorla, Young

Strikers (ST/FC) - Podolski, Higuain, Aguero, Obertan

Young Players - Balotelli, Santon, Fleck, Baxter, Vela

Have fun playing with the best team in the league. It will be a struggle against the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal, but we all know who is going to come out on top at the end of the day.

Don't be afraid to post, we don't bite!

Special thanks go to Kopsy101, Liam and lfc7 for helping make this thread

That's a great thread that Bob ;)

Thanks for the mention at the bottom as well haha

Same here really good thread:) and thanks for the mention also

Thanks guys.

Anyway onto more pressing matters.

How are your games going? and who have you signed.

I've played all my friendlies, won all but one, but am being hit quite hard by injuries ( which appears to be a bug) I've got 5 first team players out: Kuyt,Gerrard,Torres,Keane and Alonso. It's leading to some interesting formations.

I'm trying to sign Huntelaar after selling Itandje and Pennant.

What tactic are you using ? the one am using isnt too bad but is conceding a few and dosent use wingers so cant play Riera:( am on my 5th friendly and have won 3 drew 1 and am winning my 5th

My signings

L.Diarra-6.25m

Marcelo-4.4m

M.Fernandez-10m

S.Aguero-38.5m

Transfer out

Itandje-1.6m

Benayoun-4.3m(cant believe i got money for him)

I went a bit mad going in the red but as its only a half season game am just trying things out

Really loving the 3D

You can get Giovinco for 7m and Defour for 10m if anybody is interested

My download is taking literally years.

It's on 51% so I started downloading the smaller file (The Vanilla - I think), and that is on 4% after 5mins. How long did it take you guys?

Also, what is the transfer budget first season?

Took me about 40 mins to download, at 7:15 this morning. At a speed of 50kbs

Max transfer budget that I can get is £5million

Ask for more, you get around £15m. I've got Diarra for £5.5m, then got Marcelo on loan. I've sold Itanje, Kuyt, Arbeloa and Aurelio. I'm trying out a 3-4-1-2 tactic, so no need for right and left backs.

Cheers. Now have 21 million. Will try and cheekily use the int. apps. as well.

It's quite easy to dump ***** out of the club. So my tranfers so far were:

OUT:

benayoun - 10m

pennant - 8.75m

aurelio - 9.5m

itandje - 2.2m

IN:

defence:

marcelo - 5.5m

mid:

fausto rossi - 3.5m

lasssana diarra - 4.4m

giovinco - 6.5m

atack:

balotelli - 11m

p.s. whoever you put on transfer list, man city will buy :D

Cant believe you got 10m for benni with my transfers all were upfront and for Aguero am paying something like 205m over 24 months i know that would put menin debt but as its only the demo i dont mind

Liam it took me 1hr and 15 mins last mnight to download the strawberry demo

What do u think of the assistant feeback during the game?

He says to me to close down so and so then when uve closed down him its someone else might aswell close down and hard tackle the whole opposition lol

They're alright, nothing spectacular.

You can call me bob if you want, weeman would be better though.

I want to sign one more striker. Agureo is a bit to pricey, so anyone got any suggestions? Maybe Benzema,Henry?

Guiseppe Rossi, you can get him for £9.25m.

brilliant opening post. i will try later :)

Thanks very much!

Ive just noticed Mascherano has a release clause of 35m and 80% of his next transfer fee goes to a 3rd party

How can that be right when we bought him outright

keane stats are alright good player IMO

The Data person made a mistake here, there's something about it in the Liverpool data issues thread

Guiseppe Rossi, you can get him for £9.25m.

Will have a look at Rossi

How about weeeman? :p

My internet just went off and I need to start the download again :thdn:

That was just a miss typing when I signed up!

Injuries are supposed to be a bug aren't they?

I've heard G.Rossi is available for around 10mil

Pretty sure Injuries are a bug, Rossi is being looked at
