Youth Tutoring

Hi,

How do you know when picking a player to tutor your growing youth team whether the personalities will match?

I have recently set up tutoring between 2 players with balanced personalities only to be told less than a month happy that they are both unhappy due to personality clashes??

This doesn't answer your question really, but personally I don't use the tutoring system and have come out with great players. I don't see the gain in using it, especially compared to the risk of unhappiness.

when i tutor a player i check to see which player he is similar to!

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Sadly, there seems no way of knowing for sure, it's just trial and error.

I'm hoping this is sorted for FM09, which isn't too far away thankfully.

How do you set the tutor? Sometimes I see and option that you can relate player with another player, is that it? But it says nothing about tutoring.

There are a few youngsters that I've noticed that don't want to be tutored. They refuse to go on them. Big heads!

You go to the interact option of the player, at the bottom of that screen it will u give u a option to select a player froma drop down menu. Click the player, they select what you want to say about the young player learning from the older player.

But the tutor players list is quite limited. Are they becoming available for tutoring naturally? Or is there any way for me to set some experienced player for tutoring?

As far as I believe its just for players that play in the same pos and are sim to them.

I dont. I just randomly match players. Seems to work most of the time.

I usually let the youngster get tutored by a player with the same personality.

1. Both player must be playing in the same position or similar.

2. The teacher must be a world class player is that position and/or with high determination, I personally pefer over 18

As far as I can see, personal tutoring only improves the student's determination, gives him PPM and make the tutor his favour personnel.

Similair natural positions and personalities are safe options. Also as mentioned age and determination come into it. Tutoring can be risky in terms of team harmony but if you pull it off it can raise the youth players CA very quickly. It not uncommon to see gains of 20-30 CA per season.
