Oldest Player on 8.0.2?

Following on from the known issues about player aging I was wondering what is the oldest you have seen a player play (after the first couple of years)?

I still have Daniel Van Buyten on my books at age 38. He hasnt played for me for about 6 seasons! I just loan him out to my belgian feeder team while I wait for him to get a staff profile.

I am hoping that I can keep him going to 40, however I dont have an option to offer him a new contract any more so guess this is his last season as a player.

So whats the oldest you have seen a player play?

I have Akinfeev myself, lets hope he stays good enough to play at the top until hes 38 with me!

i reckon so, he has 162 caps on mine!! lol retired from national football in 2023 and retiring soon

i saw a 44 year old goalkeeper who was a player/coach

I had a goalkeeper as player / coach called markus berger in some distant future who went on until 43.

only game I ever kept someone above 32 though (except for keepers maybe)

Beckham won his 286th cap on my last save, at the young age of 73.

Only joking, I think the oldest player I've seen on FM was a 44yr-old keeper.
Damned if I can remember his name though.
