TOM DALTON
I was just wondering who everyone thinks the next big thing ( player wise) in Football Manager 2009. I think it might be Jack Wilshere. What do you think?

GeorgeCOYR
Adam Lallana of Southampton Second that.
wsopchamp08
Sebastien Giovinco,Mauro Zarate and Marek Hamsik.
Pope of Pot, King of Nothi
I've been watching Jack Wilshere lately, and boy, I have to say - he is pure class. Looking forward to prising him away from Emirates
Matt SFC
Second that. Adam Lallana of Southampton Without a doubt. Although I don't think he was bad in Football Manager 2008, as he's in my mid-table premiership Saints squad in the third season.
CarlHighfield
Rafael from Man Utd, he was great the other night agaisnt allborg
GeorgeCOYR
Without a doubt. Although I don't think he was bad in Football Manager 2008, as he's in my mid-table premiership Saints squad in the third season. I always ended up loaning him out for 2 seasons. I never thought he was good enough. Hopefully he is quality this time. Also Kelvin Davis is one of the best keepers outside the prem his stats need upping! Rustler
I agree with Jack Wilshere, he's looks to have amazing talent in real life:) Also, Theo Walcott and Sergio Aguero will get better IMO! But, IMO Carlos Vela will be the star of FM2009, i know he's been awesome in the past years but the hat trick against Sheffield United in the cup recently, shows the quality Arsene Wenger bought:)
jams1234
Kyle De Silva should be the next best thing on FM, but won't be.
YesYesOhYay
think my two were said at the start wiltshire and lallana! plus vela should be even better!!! (and thats coming from someone who hates arsenal!)
dexta200
dean windass
stgahoy
janczyk from CSKAor Roger from Legia they impressed me this year Janczyk wasnt nothing special, Roger played only well in some games now he's the average player he was. I think Giovinco will be a BIG player in the FM, he prooves now why he's called the Italian Messi.
Braenn
Amr Zaki, Steven Pienaar.
arsenal_2111
Its funny how peope get Wilshere's surname wrong. Like how YesYesOhYay spelt it, with a 't'. I did the same a bit a go, before he was well-known.
dexta200
how do you manage to spell a name wrong when its on fm lol. some people!
arsenal_2111
Because normally it's be spelt Wiltshere. It's quite strange saying Wilshere TBH!
kopsy101
pacheco will be awesome. looks a cut above the reserves at 17! shame he won't be getting the same chances as wilshere, vela etc as different manager, different approach. otherwise he would be class!
stevie_G_32201
pacheco does look promising as does nemeth. if only they were given a chance. they would be the next robbie "god" fowler
Fatt
Noel Hunt.
kopsy101
to be fair though, pacheco got games in pre-season and looked very good! just needs to bulk up and he is set! nemeth only played once as a sub i think against vilareal and looked good actually, considering he wasn't fully fit.
stevie_G_32201
thats my point exactly. these 2 will lose thier potential if they arent playing in COMPETITIVE matches. friendly's doesnt work for this sort of stuff. if these 2 played regularly? they would become greats. maybe even as good as the nino or the legend that is robbie "god" fowler.
arsenal_2111
If you insist then I suppose we could have them, get them to their potential? You can have them back when they're 40:)
stevie_G_32201
not a chance instead i will give you jermaine "peanut" pennant and andry "one leg pony" voronin for theo walcott

jess boi
Adam Lallana has been quite impressive recently but doubt hell warrant a massive PA, i agree the first player ill be trying to sign on the new fm will be the monster of wiltshire! Jw, does anybody know how long after the game release a mini scout will come out?

Loki20_PL
Sergio Aguero - the 1st player i'll check then... Jack Wilshere, Guilherme of Cruzeiro, Aquino of Murcia, Ignacio Camacho, Wijnaldum, Javi Martinez, Isma Lopez, Bojan, Vela, Lulinha.

PMLF
Roger played only well in some games now he's the average player he was. I wonder how he even got a place at the Polish nat'l team, he is an awful player.
Purefun
Defour and Witsel tbh. They should turn out great.
Nomis07
The usual suspects from FM08, and I expect the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Rafael etc to be improved. TBH the stars of FM09 we probably know nothing about, but this time next year we'll be talking about them as if we knew about them for years.
The_shocker7
Sunu from Arsenal should be a lot improved, in FM08 he ends up in Blue Square but IRL he was tracked by Milan etc... Wheater and Oblongwhore should be vastly improved as well, they will be starting for England at the World Cuo IMO
arsenal_2111
Sunu from Arsenal should be a lot improved, in FM08 he ends up in Blue Square but IRL he was tracked by Milan etc...Wheater and Oblongwhore should be vastly improved as well, they will be starting for England at the World Cuo IMO Sunu is a -9 in FM08, it's strange that he never turns out too well... merridius
dean windass LOL. agree. :D i am hoping francis coquelin(sp?) gets a -9. i know its just several pre-season friendlies, but he looks like a new flamini. EDIT: lol @ oblongwhore.
coolbananas
Sergio Busquets deserves a look aswell.
Guest Mouhsin013
Nacer Barazite! I expect him to become world class. Diego Capel! If he will have a 15 million euro's buy out clause I think a lot will be aiming for him, I expect him to be a fun player to have in FM09. Moussa Dembele! I think he will be a decent and productive striker.
Guest Mouhsin013
I have to add these two: Ibrahim Afellay! He has had a superb season and finally broke into the Dutch squad, fantastic all round player. Mesut Ozil! What a player?!! A lot of people will be luring for Diego but I think they might do better in taking Ozil
