EDITOR in OFFLINE MODE cant move players to other clubs but can move players to my club

Need Help: using EDITOR in OFFLINE MODE cant move players to other clubs but can move players to my club. Is this something that can only be done in ONLINE MODE? For example I can click on a player from another team and go to editor pull down button and move that player to my club. But when it comes to moving players whether on my team or any other player on any other team, I cant use the editor pull down button to move those players to other clubs while in OFFLINE MODE. Please help. Maybe it's just not possinle to do unless I am in ONLINE mode.
