CapaJr
The rules are; Teams in CL group stage is sorted first by the results between the teams if not possible, the goal difference is being looked at as a second resort. My question is, I lost 0-1 away, won 2-1 home, therefore the results in both legs were the same! so the second solution needed to be looked at, and my goal difference was higher then them?! but that team finished higher then i do. WHY?
CFuller
It goes: Points, Goal Difference, Goals Scored, Away Goals Scored. Your opponent scored one away goal against you. You didn't score any against them. There's your answer.

WHY? Your goal difference is the same. Two goals for and two goals against. Third tie breaker, IRL, is higher number of goals for (both are two). Fourth tie breaker is the number of away goals scored. The other team scored one away goal, your team did not.
CFuller
Harper's explained it quite well. In case the OP is still unsure, 'goal difference' in this case is the GD between ONLY the teams that are tied, rather than all teams in the group.
