Build Your Team World League (GAME Thread)

Hello!

I am going to start a "Build Your Team" for FM16 with a new World League based on teams made by users here on the forum. I will then run the league for several seasons to see who can make the best team. I will also post the database here so people can download it and play it for fun. It will be a total custom made league and cup structure. How many teams that will be included depends on the respons here. It will also lead to announcing the best "chairman" on the forum here.

Morale is locked at 18 * 10000 So will always be 180.000 points

Reputation is locked at 9000 So will always be 180.000 points

Attendance * 250 So 50000 = 12.500.000 points

Minimum attendance locked at half of attendance * 10 So 25.000 = 250.000 points

Maximum attendance * 500 (must be higher than attendance So 100000 = 50.000.000 points

Stadium capacity (all seater) * 250 So 80.000 = 20.000.000 points

Expansion capacity (must be higher than Stadium capacity)* 500 So 100000 = 50.000.000 points

When all points are allcoated the rest are transfered to starting funds

Transfer funds first season will be half of starting funds

Wage budget left in the first season will be 1/250 of starting funds

Additional information:

* First Yes it costs extra to have expansion capacity, so it could just have been a higher prize for the seats and cheaper for expansion capacity, but this was how I decided to do it.

* Second I forgot to mention about ticket prices. Every club will get the same starting price for tickets bots for season tickets and for ordinary tickets. I will find a suitable price, and post it here as soon as its decided. The starting figure for average season tickets holders will be 50% of Attendance.

* Final I will make changes to youth ratings for the nations involved in this sign-up so that they have equal values. So it should not be a disadvantage to start in India.

* Extra The league structure will have both ordinary league and regional league if there is enough applicants, so it be fun if people choose different parts of the world to build their teams in.

* 1 team per user at the moment, if we need more teams later, I might open up additional "slots"

Confirmed competitions:

Maradona Tropy - League structure with 12 teams, 22 games. Winner wins the league, no promotion or relegation. Prize money ranges from 20M - 45M pounds depending on position. There is money awarded for every win and draw as well.

Lineker Trophy - FA-CUp structure. 8 teams enter first round, 4 teams get by. Randomly chosen. 1 match each round until final on neutral venue. Prize money ranges from 5M - 50M pounds depending how far the teams reach.

Pele Trophy - Super Cup played at the end of season between winner of Maradona and Linker trophies. One match at neutral venue, winner gets 80M looser 40M pounds.

Yashin Trophy - League Cup that start as a Group Stage with 6 teams in each Group. Teams play each other twice for 10 games in Group Stage. Then 8 teams joins the Quarter Final, from there on its 2 legged games including the Final. This competition has the highest prize money, but you need to get to the Quart Final to get awarded the money.

Points are scored based on the following criteria:

- The chairman scores points only in seasons he has completed as a chairman. It means if the chairman quits/retires/sells his club before the end of the season, there will be no points awarded for that season, and the chairman has ended his career and can't score anymore points. It doesn't help if the chairman has a new club. If one or more chairmen stays until the end of the season 2029-30 the competition ends with this season.

- The chairman with the most points either when all chairmen have quit or at the end of season 2029-2030 wins the challenge.

Following points are awarded for each season:

- Richest club in the league - 10 points per season (checked at 29th of June each season.)

- Highest Bank balance - 10 points per season (measured 29th of June each season)

- Highest average attendance in Maradona Trophy League games - 5 points per season

- Highest capacity percentage in Maradona Trophy - 5 points per season

- Winner of Maradona Trophy - 50 points per season

- Top Goalscorer of Maradona Trophy - 10 points per season (if more people share, points are split)

- Top Av.Rat. of Maradona Trophy - 6 points per season (if more people share, points are split, Must have played 70% of matches)

• From what I understand, Stadium capacity costs 250 points per seat, but in reality, for each seat, I must also spend 500 points on expansion capacity. Like, If I have a 20000 seater with expansion capacity of 40000, I will spend like 20000*750+(40000-20000)*500, apart from spending in attendance. I wish you think this out once.
  
• Secondly, It is useless to have a large stadium if I cannot have a good price on tickets. Could you sell the price of Season and match tickets as well?
  
• Finally, If I want to build a club in India, I would get a youth rating of 86, while my Brazillian Friends would get 163, without spending additional points. So, under your league system, can I also get Brazillian Regens? Or else, can you make it like you hav to spent more points to get a club in a better Ranked country?

Another question here: will we get default players, like from "add players to playable teams" or are we going to start completely empty? Because, in the second case, Transfer budget becomes much more important, and both of our teams will be very weak compared to Rizal United(unless you set really high price for tickets )

Here I notice that while only 5% of Delhi and 4% New York Populations frequent their world league teams, 25% of Tanay watch their team on an average day.

Also, what is the currency for budget?

Great respons so far, will start making the teams during easter. All teams will be given some random players so there are no empty teams. Most "star players" in the World will be given Free Transfer so they actually are picked up and not left for "dead" in what will be really bad clubs like Barca etc. As spots fill up here it will be interesting to see the spreading around the world, so far 3 teams in Asia and 2 in North America.

Could you not allow us to create a few "Identity players"? Like you hav so many points, and each PA point costs half of a CA point, and you can have n PPMs in all... Would be good to see a couple of personally designed players...

Could you not allow us to create a few "Identity players"? Like you hav so many points, and each PA point costs half of a CA point, and you can have n PPMs in all... Would be good to see a couple of personally designed players...

I will strongly consider this. It was in my original plans to design a full team of players also, but I threw that part of the idea away as I felt it might discourage more people than it would encourage. Lets go with this version first and see how it goes, if more people want to add players as well then I might consider it, as long as people won't drop out because of it for a future version.

you could just create some random team or we could help with names etc all you will have to do is one facility's etc then just copy and paste so that wouldn't make it difficult

Yeah, should not be bad to have some ghost teams, but we do have countries with 10 team top leagues, so that should not be bad either.

How about making all 200+ nations have competed with their clubs in the feeders? That would know that each team will have an affiliation with them!

sherwinga, I think you have messed up the minimum attendance part. The multiplier is 10, not 10000. You should correct that and then I think you have the highest starting cash amongst all teams.

Now, 12 teams probably puts us in the position to have an A-league style league+A Copa America style cup(with two legged matches) + a super Cup.

Btw, I think that seeing the low number of participants, we should start asking for second teams from those who want. It is either that, or Here is a Plan B

It is now clear that we will be a bit short on teams. Also, there will be no Promotion/Relegation possible. Finally, It can be hard to say no to people who jump in later but there is no way of adding teams to the structure without rebuilding it entirely. Thereby, I propose to build an entire 36 team, 2 tier structure, where we have these 12 teams+24 "prototype teams". All these teams should have similar finances and stadiums, and i think it would be logical to make them weak so that they occupy the positions 13 to 18 in the premiership and are always involved in relegation battles. Then, as and when new users want to jump in, We can say one of these teams had a takeover in the off season, and they built a good stadium, increased their attendances, and so on. In fact, i think everything other than based city and Country ca be changed with the In game editor. So, we can start off with our league without having to wait too long, and also make space for new users in future...

Also, Earl have you already started to build the teams up? In that case, I would really like to see a couple of in-editor screenshots pertaining to:

• Our Corporate facilities, matchday ticket and season ticket prices
  
• The new Youth rating and template, game importance, financial/economic power etc of our countries
  
• The 'random' players you have given us
  

Another thing I was considering is that since My team is fairly low on cash, can I request for a Bank Loan at start?
