TERose
Hi guys... First post so sorry if it's in the wrong place or whatever... I've been playing FM this year on a decent Lenova laptop and still have that laptop available to run FM16, however I am looking at a cheaper more portable option for FM16 so it's easy to take to work and on a commute. Obviously tablet/laptop hybrids are pretty pricey so I've found this cheap little thing: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/laptops-and-netbooks/toshiba-satellite-click-mini-1284933/review The specs are: CPU: 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735F with Burst Technology 2.0 RAM: 2GB DDR3 SDRAM Graphics: Intel HD Graphics Storage: 32GB eMMC Flash Memory This is a downgrade from my current laptop used to play fm and I was just wonder if from all your experiences, will this cope with the demands of FM16? And if so what sort of player count/active leagues would I be looking at a maximum of? Thanks guys! Any advice is appreciated.
forameuss
If it runs - which is a big if - it would not run well. Even your storage looks questionable if you had plenty of saves. Processor and RAM might only scrape the minimum too. I'm betting no - there will be others more qualified that may disagree though.
TERose
Thanks for the reply! Yeah I'm just trying to save myself a few hundred quid considering I don't technically need another laptop. Just after a portable was of playing, handheld and classic aren't options for me either because I love the intricate details of the main game. Thanks anyway! FrazT
It is always difficult to be specific about any machine, but I doubt if that one would or could do justice to FM or any other graphics intensive game in any level of detail.
thomit
Well, for one thing, you need your tablet or phablet or microlaptop or whatever to run a "full" OS in order to run FM 16, don't you ... so anything that runs on Android or similar phone/phablet/tablet OS's you won't be able to run FM 16 on. You'll need Windows or MacOS, a OS made for small things won't do.
Pompey1978
I have a Linx 8" Windows tablet: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Linx-810-8-Inch-Tablet-Bluetooth/dp/B01272MMQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443259488&sr=8-1&keywords=linx+8 Which has Windows 10 and has a Quad-Core Intel Atom processor, 1Gb RAM, 32Gb internal storage and onboard graphics. Amazingly, it runs FM fine. I've only tried it in Classic mode with one nation's leagues, but it's fine. It even does 3D matches, although at the low end of the detail levels etc. It's always subjective of course - some people like to run 10 nations and complete a season in a couple of hours - but for simple mobile play, it's fine for me. the biggest frustration is actually that FM 2015 isn't very touch-friendly, something I'm looking forward to seeing remedied with this year's iteration of the game. Came in to post that I have a Linx 7 and it ran FM 15 fine (I only tried it on 2D mode though). Really good for the price: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/tablets/linx-7-1277034/review

Now this I'm also very interested in finding out...........as I may buy a tablet (powerful one) for FM16 *IF* it's good with a touchscreen.
Dave Fairbairn
On FM15, I could play it fine using my crappy old Pentium 4(has since been replaced, but I had to use it for a long time). I had to use 2D match, but could still play. Processing times could get rather painful, though.
