Football Manager Handheld is now Football Manager Mobile

There will be no new leagues

Enhanced Tactics - Take greater control of your squad with the introduction of new tactical instructions. You can choose where your team concentrates its passing, as well as selecting your main attacking threat and creative outlet – and even advise your goalkeeper on distribution.

Coaching Staff - Prepare your squad for match days better than ever before with the addition of coaches, providing your team with focused training to prepare for their next big fixture.

Management Style - The introduction of gold, silver and bronze coaching badges allows you to define your own management style. Will you concentrate on improving your defence or attack, or focus on morale and man management? Your decision will influence your team’s style.

Improved Screens - Redesigns to key screens makes Football Manager Mobile 2016 more intuitive than ever, while the improved news screen makes it easier than ever to take in all the information you need.

Player Loans - Develop newly-signed younger players by loaning them back to their previous club so that they can continue to gain first team experience.

First Window Transfer Parity - Managers who want to start a new career with largely unchanged squads across their entire game world can choose to enable the 'no budgets in first transfer window' option, allowing only free transfers to take place

Part of the description isn't particularly clear...

Part of the coaching system is that coaches have various badges which indicate their ability and they have a style of coaching which indicates their potential effect on a team:

The coaching styles available are:

General - All around coach, effective in developing all players but not specialised

Defensive - Defensive coach, effective in developing defensive players and also helping slightly with defensive organisation

Attacking - Effective in developing attacking players and also helping slightly with defensive movement

Motivational - Good at keeping players spirits up and encouraging them when times are hard, they can also sometimes improve the character of players (ie. make players less lazy or more professional).

Goalkeeping - Effective at developing keepers

Youth - Effective at developing young players

Fitness - Effective at improving players fitness and other physical attributes

Thus what it means by 'management styles' is that this allows a manager to effectively decide on the style of team he wants to develop - you could go for the Chelsea approach and buy in experienced players and not worry so much about youth coaching, you could be Arsenal and concentrate on attacking flair at the cost perhaps of your younger defensive players not improving as much as they might otherwise etc.

PS - You as a manager can also be a coach if you so desire, this is an unlockable which is available after you've unlocked a number of other achievements in the game.

Is it possible to see some screenshots of game? Is 2d engine like 2015's version?

I'm sure some will be forthcoming in the near future - please bear in mind I'm a developer and don't get involved in the promotion of the games generally, once things are public I love talking about them ... but its not my place to steal their thunder ;)

Mark, will higher end tablets and smartphones have an advanced setup option, whereby we could load more than 3/4 nations?

Not during this iteration no, at some point in the future I hope this will happen - but it will require substantial reworking of how the games database is handled which will take a while to implement.

Thanks, Marc to give more expanation for manager style and coach system. But I still confusing about sth you mentioned.

1. Coach system Vs Normal Training System

When we have Coach system in FMM2016, will we still have same training system as FMH2015? The coach system is to replace training system or supplement of training system?

2. How many coach we can hire? Does it cost wage budget in game or money in realy life like IGE in FMH2015?

3. Who will the coach be? The coaches will be coaches in real life, or NPC (Non Player Character)? Will player be coach when they retire?

I hope these questions are open for talk. Looking forward to the reply.

I know it, Alari. but i Fm pc version have news update before release. Why not other news for FmH users?

It'll come in time I'm sure - as I said we're only humble devs, the complicated stuff like PR we leave to people who know how to do that side of things ... and in return they don't tell us how to do our jobs ;)

(and rest assured when I'm let loose you'll find it hard to shut me up about the game as per usual ;) )

It will be my 4th or 5th year playing FMH. I can't even remember anymore. However, my friends and I live in the US where MLS has really grown since then.

We'd love to see MLS included in FM Mobile. Any idea how many more years we'll be waiting? We're EPL fans, so we definitely enjoy that league. But domestically, we attend quite a few MLS matches and would love to take the reins of our favorite clubs in this league!

I live in Florida and will be going to watch Orlando City this evening ... I'd absolutely love the MLS to be in the game, but its a fairly complicated situation and unfortunately it isn't likely it'll appear in the immediate future.

I don't report this as a bug, because I think it's not a bug, just lazy programming. I post it here, not to create a discussion whether this is improved in FMH (or FMM) 16, but just to give the developers some food for thought.

I am a bit shocked about the 'lazy' transfersystem. Currently I am in 2042 with York, playing PL after promoting the team from Vanarama Conference all the way up somewhere from 2020. At first I promoted with mediocore players relying more on tactics than quality. Since 8 - 10 years I am able to attract promising youngsters and world class players offering them wages up to €170.000,-.

Clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern M, Man City and Man U aren't the least bit interested in either outbidding me or trying to buy my youngsters or world class players. No club has made a transfer offer for any of my players in the last 12 - 15 years. Clubs can afford them for sure offering other players wages around 200k.

Year after year I win the PL, CL and other cups and competitions and year after year my squad remains in tact giving me the freedom to buy one additional world class player/promising youngster per year.

Squads like Chelsea and Arsenal deteriorate only having one GK or one star player in each line (def, mid, att). All my competitors are lacking squad depth because they don't act aggressively on the transfer market or try to unsettle my players. I am York for crying-out-loud, regardless of the trophy cabinet, each player in my squad would dream to play for Real Madrid or Chelsea. I won't be able to hold them IF a serious offer would come along.

I find this lack of AI on the transfer market a serious flaw in the game. I know the PC version is much more balanced in this area!

I don't care about 3d match-engines, more leagues or any of that window-dressing ****. I care about basic realism in the game, because it used to be THE selling point of the PC series.

I don't care about real names, arcade coaches and more complex tactics. I care about being a FOOTBALL MANAGER, having to worry about my resource management, about what my competitors do, about my ability to anticipate their next move. The match day is a result of my qualities to manage the resources and the competition, not about whether it is 2d or 3d.

So please devs, I know the mobile version is a more naked version of the golden PC instance, but I ask you kindly to invest your working hours in realism, not window-dressing. When you did: charge me €5,- extra to download it, I would be happy to pay it!

Thanks for the reply! That's a bummer to hear it's complicated. It's encouraging to know I'm not the only big MLS fan in here, and I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing both Orlando and NYCFC progress this season. My FCD have really encouraged to push for it. I'll just keep hoping and praying it get worked out for us then. There's no better way for MLS to get into the hands of footy fans than Football Manager Mobile. Hope they don't try to do it any other way.

And we already have the MLS in the PC/Mac version as well as FM Classic for tablets. So, is it just the finances and league structure that hold the league back from being on a simplified platform?

Let me know if it would help for us fans to reach out to anybody at MLS, SI, or SEGA to help push it along.
