Arkitekt's Betting Shop

This is now the new home of my challenge, based on the games betting odds.

Here is the break down:

1) We will be using the English Premiership and Championship, with some cup games thrown in for this challenge

2) You will be allocated 50 "credits" at the start

3) you may bet only a maximum of 10 per round, in the first 3 rounds, after that, as much as you wish

4) I will also select a few matches from european competitions to act as "double money" games

5) Hopefully this will be run weekly so you will have all week to submit your bets

6) Remember, your fist bet is final

7) No joining forces will be allowed nor will there be a chance to "re-buy" your way in, once your credits have gone, theyre gone

I will post some fixtures in the evening to get this going.

Couldn't you do this with a league that mosr of us are more drawn to, eg the Premiership?

If betting about the Swedish Leagues I wouldn't know where to start.

Could you not just do the Premiership?

This is a very good idea and hopefully something that will do well once it's started.

I'm in agreement with Ridleys though, the Premiership is probably the best league to use as it's the one that most people know about.

Will you only be doing league games? Or will you be adding in cup games when they come up?

I have to say, i'd prefer the Premiership too. However I'll take part whatever leagues you do.

The same with me. If someone does a few examples I'll get the hang of it.

I get 10/1 and 1/1, and stuff like that. Not 4/9 though or 5/4 or anything that doesn't have a 1 in.

4/9 would mean that you would have to put 9 on to get 4 back. So if you put 4 on you would get 9, and the 4 you put on back. If you put 8 on you would get 18 back + the 8 you put on.

5/4 would mean you have to put 5 on to get 4 back, so if you put 1 on you would get one quarter of 5 back + the 1 you put on.

So with my 10 on Everton at 2-5 I would get 14 (4 win plus 10 original stake.)
