After winning FM15 in a local newspaper competition :) I embark on a new save on the new game.

And here I am.

Game__UntitledGame__GameAddNewManager_zps50166bbb.png

I load up all of the UK & Ireland (SI database). On view only are the top two divisions in Germany, France, Italy and Spain and the top division in the rest of Europe.

I let Frank's little in game brother pick me a team in the bottom division of a UK & Ireland nation. The first eligible team he comes up with is...

2014/5 - Cups

Welsh Cup

A dreadful performance, as we go down 7-0 at Rhyl.

Welsh Premier League Cup

A 4-3 win over rivals Connah's Quay before we go out in Round 2, losing 2-1 at Bala.

No pictures here, there will be in future seasons.

2014/5 - Cefn Druids (Welsh Premier League)

I am given a 1 year on £275 per week, part time

Main kit sponsor is a 2 year deal worth £19,790 and has 1 year left to run.

Board: Avoid relegation

Media: 9th

Bookies: 5-1

Season tickets: 50 for £5000 (don't need Rachel Riley to work out how much that works out on average)

Club value: £180,000

We do well given expectations and show flashes of brilliance. This is reflect in our match of the season where with half an hour to play we are losing 3-0. We win 6-3.

Coming up to the split, we are one of five teams after the last two spots. We make it with a game to spare.

A poor finish sees us finish bottom of the championship group.

2015/6 - Cups

Schedule_%20%20Senior%20Fixtures_zpsa0gvr9c6.png

Welsh Cup

Some great performances in the Welsh Cup, including a great win over Bangor City in the Quarter Finals. We go all the way to the final where we are too good for Aberystwyth and Cefn Druids win the Welsh Cup for ninth time and yet the first time in 112 years. It also puts us into the Europa League next season.

Welsh Premier League Cup

Our path was easier in the Premier League Cup, which included another strong performance against Bangor City in the Semi Final. Playing Goytre United in the Final, we have two red cards in the first half. We hold on for the draw but lose on penalties, harsh on the players who battled for nearly an hour and a half two men down. George Doran, who was dismessed for a two footed tackle doesn't play for the club again and gets released at the end of the season.

2015/6 - Cefn Druids (Welsh Premier League)

I am given a 1 year contract extension on £275 per week, no change in wage.

New kit sponsor: 2 years, £19,750 (down £40)

Board: Top half

Media: 6th

Bookies: Evens

Season tickets: 50 for £5000 (no change)

Club value: £35,000 (down £145,000)

A poor start puts us bottom, not helped by my choosing a pitch that is too big.

As the split approaches, 6th place is between us and Port Talbot and we're hitting form.

Zyiac Edwards is named the Welsh Young Player of the Year.

We draw game 22 to ensure 6th place and we trail 5th place Airbus UK by 9 points.

We finish well, climb to 5th place and go all the way in the Welsh Cup.

For some reason, despite winning the Welsh Cup, we still play in the European playoffs. How does that work out?

And now a choice... Billericay Town have been promoted to Conference South without a manager, and long time users of the forum may remember a couple of epic saves I had with them I had on CM01/02 and an early version of FM... or I stay at Cefn with a crack at the Europa League. Hmmm...

Back to more serious issues...

I updated the new patch midway through my third season.

Within a fortnight, I had a plethora of players coming to me with play me or sell me complaints. It has seriously unsettled the squad.

I had a few before, now it is almost the entire screen.

Is this common or has the patch adversely affected my game?

I've just bought FM15, and I've had a number of similar messages from players. One player decided he was unhappy right near the end of the January transfer window, despite him being noted as a backup player. I had put this down to simply to me playing at a higher level than I normally do, but it could be an issue with the patch.

2016/7 - Cups

Schedule_%20%20Senior%20Fixtures-2_zpseno6d4vo.png

Europa League

We got the toughest draw from the seeding pots (which to me make no sense - why seed teams and then divide them further into a number of different pots?)

We performed admirably in the away leg, staying organised, tight and standing up to Zagreb, before going down 3-1. I was happy with that, I feared a hammering.

We went for it in the second leg, but this left us open. Coupled with an average performance, the score more reflected what I expected the first leg to be.

Welsh Cup

Performances were strong as we marched to the Semi Finals. Confident of repeating last season's success, we then got well and truly thrashed. Hugely disappointing.

Welsh Premier League Cup

Solid but not spectacular, before an embarrassing performance against lower league Haverfordwest.

After the patch, Everybody wants to leave for Champions League Football. (I am Liverpool, 2030) or when somebody comes sniffing around them. If they just played we wouldn't have any problems. (missed Champions League by 3 goals) They play fine against good/top teams but blow it against Relegation fodder.
